Portugal is among the top 10 most popular babymoon destinations globally, according to a new study by My1stYears. The website analyzed search data for hundreds of travel destinations to find out where soon to be parents were considering for a vacation. This news comes as no surprise, considering Portugal’s reputation for stunning scenery, delicious food, and relaxed atmosphere.

The ranking by My1stYears highlights a growing trend of couples seeking babymoon getaways before welcoming their newborns.  According to the study, Mexico is the most popular country, followed by Ireland and the Bahamas. Portugal came in 7^th globally for the most searched honeymoon destination. 

Pregnant couples can choose from various experiences in Portugal. Vibrant cities like Lisbon offer historical charm and cultural exploration. Picturesque coastal towns provide opportunities to unwind on pristine beaches. The Algarve region boasts stunning natural landscapes and charming villages.  The country’s affordability, safety, and abundance of baby-friendly amenities likely contribute to its popularity. It also has warm weather most days of the year. This means that visitors can indulge in outdoor fun, relax on parks or sunbathe on the sandy beaches.

This recognition positions Portugal as a strong competitor in the babymoon market. Expecting couples seeking a memorable pre-baby escape can now consider Portugal’s diverse offerings to create a perfect babymoon experience.
