As the famous American singer takes the stage on 25^th and 27^th May, 2024, traffic and parking restrictions are expected between Friday and Sunday around Estádio da Luz. This is the venue for the highly anticipated Taylor Swift concerts, which are part of ‘The Eras Tour’. The concerts will start at 6.00 pm, with the official opening time of the venue to the public being scheduled for 4.00 pm.

The Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the Public Security Police (PSP) has announced these restrictions to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow during the concerts. In their statement, the restrictions will be enforced ‘only to the extent that is strictly necessary’, so as to ‘guarantee the safety of the holding’ of the two concerts.

Affected Streets:

The restrictions will be in place near Estádio da Luz and will impact the following streets: Avenida Machado Santos (both directions), Avenida Eusébio da Silva Ferreira, Impasse à Rua João de Freitas Branco, Praça Cosme Damião, and Avenida Cosme Damião.

Duration of Restrictions:

Avenida Machado Santos: These restrictions will be the most extensive, starting at 8:00 am on Friday, May 24th and lasting until 2:00 am on Sunday, May 26th.

Avenida Eusébio Ferreira (access to Parque -3 and Avenida do Colégio Militar): Expect delays on this avenue with restrictions starting at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 24th and continuing until 2:00 am on Saturday, May 25th. The restrictions will be re-implemented later that day at 2:00 pm and remain in effect until 2:00 am on Sunday, May 26th.

Impasse à Rua João de Freitas Branco: This street will have restrictions until midnight on Sunday, May 26th.

Public Transportation Recommended:

Authorities are advising concertgoers to utilize public transportation to minimize traffic congestion and reach the venue efficiently. Consider planning your trip in advance and familiarizing yourself with Lisbon’s public transport options.

The PSP has also highlighted the need to ensure parking reservations on Avenida Hernâni Lopes (direction Laranjeiras – Alto dos Moinhos), Avenida Machado Santos, Impasse à Rua João de Freitas Branco, Praça Cosme Damião and in the parking lot of EMEL located next to the Avenida Lusíada viaduct.
