Thirty years since the founder and president of Gruppo Storico Romano first organized the Natale di Roma at the city’s Colosseum alongside a few friends; today, the celebration of Rome’s birthday has evolved into an event that you would not want to miss. This year, Natale di Roma will begin on April 19 and run for three days until April 21.

The difference between the past Natale di Roma and today is that the government has put in more effort to see that this celebration goes beyond global borders. The event is also supported by some of the highest powers in the continent including the European Parliament, the Culture Ministry in Italy, and the Italian Olympic Committee among other powerful bodies.

This huge support has seen the Natale di Roma become elevated to high levels. For instance, this year’s celebration will have more than one thousand and seven hundred costumed participants. These men are not just from Rome or Italy but across the world. Most of them have traveled thousands of kilometers to be part of this event.

The events will include the gladiator school and tournament, which many people love. There will also be live music performed by the famous Italian army band, among other activities.

Being an open event, Natale di Roma is free for anybody to attend. Whether you want to see the gladiators battle on the ground or enjoy the live band, rush to Rome.
