Whether you’re a food adventurer or just someone who loves a good meal, join me in exploring the Michelin Star Restaurants in Amsterdam. Let’s discover 10 elegant establishments that turn eating into a classy and delicious affair.

1. The Duchess

The Duchess inspired by the splendour and eminence of the Belle Époque, took residence in Amsterdam in the summer of 2015. The royal nature of the duchess is captured in the refined flavours from Southern France and Italy, known as Nouveau-Niçoise Cuisine. The custom-made Molteni kitchen is an impressive centrepiece fit for a royal, where exquisite dishes are created alongside decadently delicious desserts. The duchess menu is one of intricate simplicity with eclectic classics such as luscious Fruits de Mer platters, rotisserie and grill specialities and homemade ice-cream coupes prepared at the table.

The exclusive Mariage Frères tea and champagnes are to be enjoyed in the elegant Tea Room during afternoon tea, featuring an array of delicate sweets, macaroons, éclairs, truffles and cotton candies. Afternoon tea at the duchess reminds one of an Alice in Wonderland tea party with an abundance of teacups, teapots and cake tiers. The Duchess balances the elegance and sophistication of a distant royal past with the comfort and intrigue of our time.
