A Sandbox game developed by Mojang Studios, Minecraft is another highly-rated video game in the world. Markus Notch Persson created Minecraft Video Game in the Java programming language. Several early private testing versions were made before the game was officially released to the world.

In May 2009, the game was made public but more time was required before it was officially released. In November 2011, Markus stepped down and Jens Bergensten took over the development and was fully released. This is the best-selling video game in history.

Markus Notch Persson is a game developer with King had been learning a number of different programming languages. Notch created the Minecraft Video Game in the Java programming language.

However, the video game was not released immediately as it made several early private testing and was made public in May 2009. Unfortunately, Notch stepped down from the creation of the Minecraft Video Game, and Jens took over. In November 2011, the Minecraft Video Game was officially released after Jens took over its development.

2. The Original Edition of the Minecraft Game underwent Several Development before the Release

In May 2009, the original version of Minecraft, now referred to as the Java Edition, was created. Notch released this version as a test film on his YouTube channel.

Over the course of a weekend in the same month, Notch finished the Minecraft basic program. On 16^th May 2009, there was a private testing that was made available on TigIRC.

On 17^th May 2009, a developmental release of the game was made available to the public on the TIGSource forums. In response to comments made on the forums, Notch went ahead and modified the game.

On 15^th September 2014, Microsoft made an offer to buy the game and Mojang. Microsoft made a $2.5 billion deal to buy Mojang alongside the ownership of the Minecraft Video Game as its intellectual property.

This deal was a suggestion from Notch who had posted on Twitter asking for a corporation to purchase his share of the game. Mojang was approached by several enterprises on the acquisition of Minecraft. On 6^th November 2014, Notch was named among the World鈥檚 Billionaires by Forbes.

4. A Pocket Java Edition of Minecraft was Made Available for both Android & iOS

Several modifications to the game were made after the takeover by Microsoft. In August of 2011, the Pocket Edition of Minecraft Game was released on the Android market for the Xperia Play as an alpha version. Other compatible devices were also able to access the game after its release on 8^th October 2011.

On 17^th November 2011, there was the iOS version of Minecraft. After Microsoft鈥檚 acquisition of Mojang, a port was made available for Windows Phones.

However, the port concentrated more on creative building and primitive survival aspects of the game but did not contain all features on PCs. Currently, there is an available Pocket Edition of Minecraft Game that uses Java Edition on both Android and iOS devices.

6. The Xbox Version of Minecraft Differs from Home Computer Versions

Many thought that the Xbox version of the game could be similar to the home computer version. However, there were several components of the games that differed a lot.

This new version differs from the home computer versions through the newly designed crafting system, in-game tutorials, the control interface, split-screen multiplayer, and the ability to play with friends on their Xbox.
