Andy Dick, born Andrew Roane Dick is a fifty-seven-year-old American comedian who rose to fame after appearing on a television show called Fox鈥檚 The Ben. He later appeared in several other shows in the 1990s when he was at the peak of his career.

The comedian has been in the spotlight in the past as many people were curious to understand his take on sexuality. However, Andy has always been open about his sexual orientation, admitting to being sexually fluid as well as offering to contribute information about bisexuality to people around the world.

The iconic actor and comedian has been a topic of discussion in the past on different topics including sexuality and alcoholism. He addressed the issues back in 2008 when he admitted to being an alcohol addict and that he was also struggling with bisexuality.

While talking about the struggles in his life, Andy tells Banks that he is bisexual despite many people claiming that he is gay.

“I’ll try anything,” he opened up in the interview about his sexuality. “I really have tried everything, except nothing with animals. There’s only room for one animal – that would be me,鈥� he added.

According to him, his preference for a sexual partner does not have to do with a person鈥檚 gender or sexual orientation. He falls in love with the person and not the gender, as expected by the norms of society. But he is not a man who is afraid to go against the norms to do the things that make him happy.

However, Andy would go on to complain that he is not accepted by the minority groups in the LGBTQ+ community and society at large. He feels rejected by both the gay and straight because neither of them thinks that Andy belongs.

“I say, ‘I’m bi, my love knows no gender,’ and the straight community says, ‘Oh right, that’s just a cover-up – you’re gay!’ And the gay community says, ‘Yeah right, that’s just a cover-up – you’re gay,'” he went on. “They both want to push me gay,鈥� he said in a 2006 interview with the Washington Post.

Many people doubt Andy Dick鈥檚 sexual orientation because they feel that he is acting under the influence of substance abuse because of his drinking history. He has been in several rehabilitation centers for excessive use of alcohol as well as numerous arrests for public misconduct. However, the comedian holds that he is bisexual.

Andy Dick has a complicated marriage history; first with Ivone Kowalczyk and later with Lena Sved. He has a son with Ivone and shares a son and daughter with Lena. Many would wish to describe him as heterosexual because, despite having an attraction to men, he also was married to women in the past.

The comedy icon insists that he is bisexual despite not being accepted by different groups in society. He admitted being an alcohol addict and people believed him, and therefore it is fair that they also believe him when he says that he is bisexual, and not gay.
