Born on 21st May 1960, Jeffery Lionel Dahmer who was also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or Milwaukee Monster, was a serial killer. Jeffery was also a sex offender who murdered and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. As his victims were missing and suspicion was raised about him, it was revealed his murders involved necrophilia, cannibalism, and the preservation of body parts permanently.
Jeffrey Dahmer used to preserve all or a part of the skeleton of his victims. He committed his first murder as a teenager at the age of 18 in 1978 three weeks after graduating. On 18th June 1978, Jeffrey picked up a hitchhiker who was almost 19 and lured him to his house for drinks.
The chest of Steven Hicks, the hitchhiker attracted Jeffrey who hit him using a 4.5kg dumbbell and then strangled him to death. He then stripped him naked as he explored his chest and then masturbated. Jeffery buried the body in a shallow grave then unearthed the remains which he dissolved the flesh using acid, crashed the bones, and scattered them.
After his first murder, he started sedating his victims using the alcohol he offered before pouncing and killing them. 1. Jeffrey’s First Victim was Strangled to Death, Buried then Unearthed the Remains which He Pared
On 18th June 1978, at the age of 18, Jeffery Dahmer committed his first murder with his victim being a hitchhiker known as Steven Mark Hicks. Steven was lured to Jeffrey’s House on the pretext of drinks which turned out to be tragic. The bare chest of the hitchhikers standing at the roadside stirred his sexual feelings for Jeffery, however, Steven started talking about girls which put off Dahmer.
The pair talked for several hours, drank alcohol, and listened to music until Steven asked to leave but Jeffery didn’t want him to go. Jeffery used his 4.5kg dumbbell to bludgeon Steven from behind as he sat on the chair. Steven fell unconscious allowing Jeffrey to strangle him to death with the dumbbell’s bar.
He then stripped him, explored his chest with his hands, and then stood over the corpse masturbating. Some hours later, Jeffery placed the body in the basement and dissected it the following day. He then buried the remains of Steven in a shallow grave in his backyard and unearthed them, and pared the flesh from the bones.
Dahmer dissolved the flesh in acid and flushed the solution down the toilet as he crushed the bones with a sledgehammer. He later scattered the crushed bones in the woodland behind the family home.

2. Dahmer Severed the Head, Filleted the Bones & Cut Flesh into Pieces after Murdering 2nd Victim
On 20th November 1987, Dahmer was residing with his grandmother in West Allis when he committed his second murder. His victim was 25-year-old Steven Tuomi who was persuaded to join him at Ambassador Hotel where he had rented a room. Dahmer confessed that his intentions were not to kill him, but rather drug him, and get to explore his body as he lay with him in bed.
He woke up the following morning and found Tuomi dead with his chest crushed in and in bad shape due to the bruises. Dahmer bought a large suitcase that was used to transport the body of Tuomi to his grandmother’s place before he disposed of it. A week later, Dahmer severed the head arms, and legs from the torso as he began the process of disposing of it.
He then filleted the bones and cut the flesh into small pieces easy to handle. The flesh was placed in plastic garbage bags and the bones were wrapped inside a sheet and pounded into splinters. This process took two hours to complete and he disposed of all the remains in the trash except for the severed head.
Dahmer kept the head in a blanket and then boiled it in a mixture of an alkali-based detergent to keep the skull. He used it as a stimulus for masturbating before disposing of it as it became brittle.
3. Jeffrey Lured Gays Whom He Drugged, Had Sexual Engagement & Strangled them to Death
After the murder of Steven Tuomi, Jeffery Dahmer began to actively seek his victims. Majority of them he had encountered within and close to gay bars. He used to lure them to his grandmother’s home for drinks and the rest was killing them.
Dahmer used triazolam or temazepam to drug his victims before engaging with them sexually. He would ensure that his victims were unconscious before strangling them to death.
4. Dahmer Lured a 14-year-old Prostitute with $50 & then Killed Him
Dahmer met James Doxtator, a 14-year-old Native American male prostitute, two months after the killing of Steven Tuomi. He enticed the young man to his grandmother’s house by offering him $50 to pose for nude photos and engage sexually with him.
At his grandmother’s place, the duo had a sexual engagement before Dahmer drugged and strangled Doxtator on the cellar floor. Dahmer kept the body in the cellar for a week before dismembering it in the same way he did Tuomi.
He threw disposed of all the remains of Doxtator but he saved the skull. The skull was boiled and bleached before Dahmer discovered that it, too, had become brittle as a result of the treatment. Two weeks later, he pulverized the skull.
5. He Had Oral Sex with the Corpse of His Victim, Richard Guerrero
On 24th March 1988, Jeffery met with 22-year-old Richard Guerrero, a bisexual man who was outside a gay bar. Richard was lured by $50 to spend the rest of the night with Dahmer at his grandmother’s place again.
Guerrero was drugged using sleeping pills and got strangled to death using a leather strap. He then performed oral sex with the corpse before dismembering it and disposing of it but retained the skull which he pulverized after several months.

6. Dahmer Permanently Preserved the Body Parts of Sears, His “Exceptionally Attractive” Victim
On 25th March 1989, Dahmer met Anthony Sears, an aspiring model and mixed-race man 24-year-old man. This was during the period he was awaiting sentencing for molesting a young man. Sears was lured to Dahmer’s grandmother’s home where they had oral sex then he was drugged and strangled to death.
Dahmer placed the body in his grandmother’s bathtub, decapitated it, and tried to flay the corpse. The bones were pulverized after stripping off the flesh and disposed of in the trash. He confessed to having found Sears “exceptionally attractive” which made him permanently retain his head and genitalia in acetone.
7. Jeffery Took Polaroid Photos of His Sixth Victim
32-year-old Raymond Smith, a male prostitute was the sixth victim of Jeffery who was manually strangled to death after taking a drink laced with 7 sleeping pills. Jeffery purchased a Polaroid camera which he used to take several pictures of the body of Smith in suggestive positions and then dismembered him.
Dahmer then boiled the legs, arms, and pelvis of Smith using Soilax in a kettle and rinsed the bones in his sink. His skull was spray-painted and stored alongside Sears inside a metal filing cabinet.

8. He Stored the Skeleton of One of His Victims in his Freezer for Several Months
Dahmer invited a 27-year-old acquaintance named Edward Smith to his flat in June 1990. Edward Smith was drugged and then strangled. This time he did not replicate his previous methods of bleaching that destroyed the skulls.
Dahmer stored Smith’s skeleton in his freezer for several months with the hopes that it would not hold moisture. Because freezing the skeleton did not eliminate moisture, the victim’s skeleton was acidified several months later. Dahmer accidentally ruined the skull when he placed it in the oven to dry, causing it to explode.
9. Dahmer Killed his Next Victim & Stored His Organs for Later Consumption
After killing Edward Smith, his next victim was a 22-year-old Chicago native known as Ernest Miller who was lured to have good times with money. Dahmer had 2 sleeping pills which were not effective in knocking Miller out which made him slash his victim’s carotid using the knife he used to dissect his victims. After killing him, Dahmer posed for nude Polaroid photos and placed the body in the bathtub as he dismembered it.
He kept the heart, liver, biceps, and several portions of flesh in plastic bags and preserved them for later consumption. Jeffery then retained the skeleton using the usual procedure. Miller’s severed head was preserved in the fridge before being stripped of the flesh.
10. The Victims of Jeffery Were not Picked According to Ethnicity but by Physical Attributes
There were questions on how Jeffery Dahmer chose his victims. It was previously claimed that he picked his victims from the African-American race, but this was not true. He murdered 17 young men who were from various minority ethnic groups.
Independent forensic specialists’ study of the victims that Jeffery Dahmer chose revealed that they all shared a morphological similarity. Jeffery was attracted by the physical attributes of his victims as he used to have sexual engagements and physical associations before killing them.
Jeffery Dahmer was later arrested on 22nd July 1991 after a failed attempt to murder his victim. He was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole for 16 lifetimes. However, he was murdered in prison by another inmate as they were on with their prison duties.
