15 Things To Know About Fetlife Murders

Fetlife is a social networking website that was launched in January 2008 by a software engineer in Montreal, Quebec. The main aim of this social networking website is to serve people who are interested in BDSM, fetishism, and kink. It is believed that this site is not a dating site, but it has brought about major losses especially losing lives.

While FetLife has been heavily criticized for its lack of moderation and abuse potential, it has still managed to remain a popular platform for people who want to explore their sexual and kink-related desires in a helpful and non-judgmental environment. Several murders have been linked to the website which raised major concerns.

One of the most shocking is of a Chinese national who has been missing with a FetLife individual being suspected to have murdered her. A physics graduate student known as Brendt Allen Christensen was the main suspect in the abduction of 26-year-old Yingying Zhang. On 9^th June 2017, Zhang who was a sponsored student was reported missing.

Allen was the person to have spotted interacting with her before she went missing. Her body has never been found but investigators believe that Allen has something to do with her disappearance as traces of blood matching Zhang鈥檚 were found in his house.

Another chilling murder linked to Fetlife is the killing of 22-year-old Brittany Kilgore. Brittany was in the process of getting divorced from Lance Cpl. Cory Killgore who was serving in Afghanistan. On 13^th April 2012, she was in the company of Louis Ray Perez, Dorothy Maraglino, and Jessica Lopez. This was the last time she was spotted alive with her body being retrieved near a Southern California lake.

1. A Chinese Student Went Missing after being Invited by a Fetish Site Individual

Born on the 21^st of December 1990, Yingying Zhang was known to be an intelligent, talented, and passionate person. She was accepted into Zhongshan University Environmental Program in 2009 and attended Peking University for her Master鈥檚 Degree. She later earned a scholarship to study at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana for her PhD program.

On 9^th June 2017, Zhang had an appointment to view a unit she was to relocate to in One North Apartments. However, she never showed up for her appointment by 1:30 PM that same day. She was last seen at the bus stop and later entered a sedan rather than the bus.

2. The Murder Suspect Zhang was Arrested and Convicted but Her Body was Never Found

Thorough investigations were made by Sergeant Carter who repeatedly watched a video captured at the bus stop where Zhang was. 29-year-old Brendt Allen Christensen who had completed a Master鈥檚 Program with the same degree was the main suspect in the missing case of Zhang.

During the trial, Allen was reported to have visited several Fetish sites including Fetlife and was believed to have thirst for violence. On 18^th July 2019, Allen was sentenced to life in prison without parole after the DNA of blood found in his house matched that of Zhang. The sentencing did not please people in China as they wanted a tough sentence for Allen.

3. A Perpetrator of the Second Fetlife Murder had the Desire to be Raped Repeatedly

19-year-old Michael MacGregor had connected with 31-year-old Tanya Bogdanovich with whom they had sexual fantasies. The two had met on Fetlife even though Tanya had three children.

Tanya had revealed that she had desires to be Raped repeatedly. On the other side, Michael had his kink desires and wished to satisfy his 鈥渟trong sex drive鈥�. The two had met for New Year鈥檚 Day eve in 2013.

That same New Year鈥檚 eve, 27-year-old Noelle attended a party with her friends and boyfriend. However, at around 2 AM, she fought with her boyfriend and decided to storm out and walk home. Michael followed Noelle as Tanya pulled up close to her, picked her first then headed to pick Michael next.

Tanya drove off for 17 miles into a forest trail where they raped Noelle repeatedly and then stabbed her 49 times in the heart and neck. After this act, the Fetlife couple were excited but their joy was short-lived as their vehicle ran out of fuel. A police patrol vehicle pulled over and the two were arrested after the police spotted their hands full of blood. Michael and Tanya were arrested and given life sentences for the first-degree murder of Noelle.

5. A Female British Tourist and Fetlife Member Went Missing in Auckland

Grace Millane was another victim of the Fetlife Murders. She was a British tourist who had gone on a backpacking trip in South America and decided to go to New Zealand. Grace had graduated from the University of Lincoln before she went on her tourist adventures.

On 30^th November, Grace arrived in Auckland, New Zealand. However, a few days after arriving at Auckland鈥檚 Central business district, she went missing.

6. Grace was Murdered during 鈥淰iolent Sex鈥� by her Fetlife Lover

Police began investigations and revealed that Grace was a member of several BDSM dating sites including Fetlife. What shocked them is that she had encouraged her partners to choke her during sex. On 9^th December at around 4 PM, the body of Grace was discovered off Scenic Drive in central Auckland.

26-year-old Jesse Kempson was arrested after getting linked to the death of Grace. Jesse revealed that Grace had died during 鈥渧iolent sex鈥�. Out of fear, he put her in a briefcase and buried her in the woods. Jesse was given a life sentence which he tried to appeal without any success.

7. A Fetlife Polygamist Revealed His Lover had 鈥淒estroyed鈥� Him

A polygamist man identified as Joshua Ward had met with 31-year-old Kelli Kramer on Fetlife. The two were in a relationship from December 2016 to May 2017 before breaking up.

Kelli Kramer was a single mother of a 9-year-old son known as Aiden. Joshua Ward believed that Kelli Kramer had destroyed his life.

8. Joshua Shot and Killed Kelli and Her Son Aiden

The bodies of Kelli and Aiden were discovered in their Burlington apartment. The two had gunshot wounds in their heads as well as in the torso with Joshua Ward being the main suspect.

Joshua was arrested after detectives analyzed shell casings that were found on the crime scene and some on a farm where he was practising his marksmanship. He was later sentenced to life in prison for murdering Kelli and Aiden but he still maintains his innocence.

9. A 37-year-old Lady Shared her Estranged Lover鈥檚 Address with Her Fetlife Lover with Ill-intentions

In May 2021, 37-year-old Heide Bos met with Stuart Heron on Fetlife. Heide described herself as ‘dom’ and Heron as ‘slave’. Heide was in a dominatrix relationship with her boyfriend Nicholas Cameron.

She had shared the location of Nicholas with Stuart as they had planned something bad against him. The two FetLife lovers had planned to physically confront Nicholas and make him leave town.

10. Stuart Attacked and Stabbed Nicholas to Dead after Stalking Him

On 4^th July 2021, Stuart visited Nicholas’s address and started stalking him from outside his apartment. He was at the building for 7 hours with his weapon intact but never acted. Stuart returned on 8^th July and continued stalking Nicholas who had taken his dog outside.

On 9^th July, Stuart returned to the place for the third time and viciously attacked Nicholas with a knife. The horrible incident lasted for 11 minutes leaving Nicholas dead.

Nicholas had suffered stab wounds on his face and abdomen. He also had an open head wound and several skull fractures. Heide and Stuart were arrested. Heide was sentenced in February 2023, while Stuart is awaiting his sentencing in May 2023.

11. Brittany was Getting a Divorce from Her Husband

22-year-old Brittany Kilgore became another victim of the Fetlife murders. At the time of her murder, she was not on good terms with her husband.

Lance Corporal Cory Killgore who was serving in Afghanistan during that time was not on good terms. She had filed her divorce which was in the process. Brittany was last seen wearing a purple evening gown that she had borrowed.

12. She was Targeted by Three Individuals for their Unusual Sexual Fetishes

Three days after filing for divorce, she was helped by Louis Ray Perez to move from her house. Later on, Louis invited her to a San Diego dinner cruise which she did not turn down. It is believed that Brittany was a target for the three鈥檚 unusual sexual fetishes.

She was not aware of what was looming after she had accepted the dinner invite from Louis. Brittany was not even aware of the sex ring involving the three individuals she has met. Louis and Dorothy later revealed that they were involved in what was a 鈥渕aster, servant, and slave role-playing.鈥�

After murdering Brittany Killgore by strangulation, Jessica had the problem of disposing of the body. She told the authorities that she had the idea of chopping the body up.

Jessica revealed that she wanted to use Louis Ray Perez鈥檚 power tools to chop the body and douse it in bleach. This was to hide any evidence that could lead to her arrest before she dumped the nude body near Lake Skinner.
