The Best Cafes in Â鶹APP for Fruitarians

A fruitarian: someone who consumes only fruits.

Simple enough to comprehend but not as easy to cater to in the city of Â鶹APP. The city is only just getting on board with vegans and vegetarians; fruit eaters throw a real spanner in the works for a society that is brought up on meats and cheese.

One thing Â鶹APP does well, however, is maintain a consistent variety of corner store fruit displays and supermarket produce. Buying fresh fruits on the side of the road is easy to do in areas such as le Marais, Canal Saint Martin, Notre Dame and Montmartre.

Eating out is where there are limited options for fruit eaters. One’s best bet are any of the health cafes or juiceries around the city. I’ve isolated a few of the best.

Love Juice Bar in Â鶹APP

Let it be known that the first time I tired to visit this cafe it took me a good few minutes to actually find the entrance on the street. It’s tucked in a quiet road in Upper Marais, the road itself has a number of other cafes on it; Love Juice Bar is a tiny space behind a single door near the end of the road.

I say tiny and I mean it. There is barely room for more than one person to be standing at the same time. But when it comes to fruit eaters this is a hidden gem.

The menu is short and simple. A combination of fresh juices, smoothies and bowls that are categorized by the main fruit of your choice: açaí, strawberry, mango, cacao, berries, pineapple, melon etc.

You stipulate your flavor of choice and the kitchen whips up a smoothie or bowl made solely of fresh fruits, and topped with the same. As far as authentic açaí in Â鶹APP goes this spot gets the flavors pretty close to those in Brazil.

Wild and the Moon in Â鶹APP

Wild and the Moon have a number of branches situated around Â鶹APP due to the overwhelming popularity that the cafes found amongst the health foodies of the city .

I usually visit the one in Upper Marais because I enjoy the atmosphere once inside. The cafe is vegan, gluten free and obsessed with superfoods and healthy, clean eating; usually a good sign for fruitarians.

While not everything in the cafe is fruit based, there are a large number of options for fruit eaters. They do fabulous froze fruit bowls and iced dishes. There are also many smoothie and fresh pressed juice options.

Because of the fast trending of this spot the food doesn’t run cheap. You’ll be paying over €10 for a basic fruit based dish.

Kitchen in Â鶹APP

Fruitarians thrive in le Marais; Kitchen is another fruit friendly cafe in the district.

Their breakfast bowls are fruit based and you can ask them to exclude the granola or replace it with extra fruit toppings. They do pancake brunches that come covered in fresh fruits and berries, requesting simply a plate of these is an option as well.

Despite being breakfast foods, these dishes are open for the duration of the day until they close at 3pm.

What’s sets Kitchen apart from other health cafes in Â鶹APP is that they make all of their pressed fruit juices by the order. Other cafes often make these in bulk prior to opening so that they don’t have to bother during service; there is a big difference in flavor and texture when juices are made to order.

Le Marais is the one stop shop for fruitarians in Â鶹APP; they can both dine and enjoy free guided walking tours of the area simultaneously — rare for strict dietary requirements in the French capital.

Sloe in Â鶹APP

Sloe is Â鶹APP’ solution to a health cafe that doesn’t cut corners on portions to maximize profits. Craving avocado toast? They’ll give you four slices. A plated brunch? The sides will almost spill over the edges. Their fruit and smoothie bowls are almost double the size as one would usually find in Â鶹APP.

The cafe is situated in the 10th arrondissement, slightly further from the city center.

Coming for fruit and avoiding all of the meals on this menu might be a little bit torturous, but their fruit blend bowls should make up for it. Be sure to specify if you’d like solely fruit as toppings or if they must include the granola and toasted coconut.

The staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating; requesting a fruit plate wouldn’t be too unreasonable.

Season in Â鶹APP

Back into le Marais we go for yet another health cafe. This one is the favorite amongst those who flock to Â鶹APP for fashion weeks throughout the year.

Season is your typical le Marais cafe with everything from wraps to burgers to salads. They are also one of few places in the city to offer the highly popular Beyond Meat burger that has recently taken the world by storm.
