Despite being a provincial footballer, Wilfried Mbappe rose to prominence as the father of French professional footballer Kylian Mbappe. The latter has made a name for himself all over the world.  Wilfried Mbappé was born in Douala, Cameroon on October 11, 1970. He is 52 years old as of 2022. He grew up in Douala, Cameroon. Wilfried also has Nigerian ancestors, though it’s unclear how strong they are. There are several known and unknown facts about him. 1. Wilfried Mbapee is from Africa

Wilfried Mbappe’s parents were originally from Africa, according to some sources, and later immigrated to France, where he was born and raised in Cameroon. As a result, he is of French and Cameroonian descent.

His son, on the other hand, has had a phenomenal professional career that began as a player. His son, Kylian, began his professional career at the age of sixteen with AS Bondy and Monaco. Later, he became the youngest player to make his Monaco debut, breaking Thierry Henry’s record. He began his senior career with Monaco B in 2015 and 2016.

At the age of six, he drew the attention of the French Football Federation and was named the best child footballer in France. In 12 senior games, he scored four goals. From 2015 to 2018, he was a member of Monaco, where he scored 16 goals in 41 games. 

He aided France to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Kylian was named FIFA World Cup Best Young Player. He also holds the record for being the youngest French player to score in a World Cup game.

3. He is off social media hence his private life

Wilfried, like most other celebrities, has never been photographed extensively. He’s done an excellent job of keeping his personal life out of the public eye.

As a result, he is not present on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. However, since his professional debut four years ago, his son Kylian has amassed over 61 million Instagram followers under the handle @k.mbappe.

His Twitter handle is @KMbappe, and he has 6.8 million followers as of November 2022.

4. He migrated to France in search of green pasture

We do know that Wilfried migrated to France at some point in his life in search of greener pastures.

He settled in Bondy, a commune in Â鶹APP’s northeastern suburbs, after arriving in France. It is thought that this is where he first met the woman who would later become his wife, Fayza Lamari.

He also has a brother named Pierre Mbappe, who is also into sports. Over the years, both brothers have maintained a close relationship.

Wilfried Mbappe quickly became involved in Bondy’s sporting community after moving there. He quickly rose to become a Bondy youth leader, actively working with talented, sports-inclined children in the area to help them develop their talent and careers while also working on his own athletic career.

According to reports, Wilfried played football for a while before becoming interested in coaching. He especially enjoyed working with gifted children and assisting them in developing into superstars.

He gained the trust of many parents, who entrusted their gifted children to him for football training.

Wilfried worked closely with and assisted many French youngsters in breaking out into superstars who now play for their country on a national level at AS Bondy.

He has been praised for his ability to recognize talent in young people and assist them in advancing in their careers. He has coached many Bondy kids who have gone on to play professional football.

Among the players he has assisted in achieving professional success are Fiorentina forward Jonathan Ikone and Arsenal defender William Saliba. And, of course, it is well documented that he was a key figure in his sons’ football success.

7. Wilfried is now Kylian Mbappe agent

Wilfried was a 25-year employee of AS Bondy. During that time, he served in a variety of capacities at the club, including as one of the club’s sporting directors, overseeing age groups ranging from under-10s to under-17s.

Wilfried decided to become a football agent after leaving AS Bondy. He is now more focused on being the football agent for his son, Kylian Mbappe.

Kylian Mbappe is a PSG forward and a France international. He is currently the most expensive player in the world of football.

8. Wilfried Mbappe’s wife was also involved in sports 

Wilfried Mbappe met and fell in love with Fayza Lamari while in France. Interestingly, Fayza, like Wilfried, was involved in sports. According to reports, she was a handball player when she met Wilfried.

They both developed feelings for each other and began dating. She is of Algerian descent, and she was madly in love with Wilfried. Their romance grew stronger over time, eventually leading to marriage.

9. The couple has two sons together

During their marriage, Wilfried Mbappe and his wife Fayza had two children. Kylian Mbappe and Ethan Mbappe are their two sons.

Both children have followed in their parent’s footsteps by becoming soccer stars, and they are doing well for themselves. Jires Kembo Ekoko, Wilfried Mbappe’s adopted son, is also a footballer.

Jires was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. His parents sent him to France for education when he was sick. He ended up in Bondy, the same city where Wilfried lived. Jires initially resided in Bondy with his uncle and older sister.

Wilfried Mbappe is a pivotal figure in the success of his son, Kylian Mbappe. According to Discover walks discovery, Kylian was a small child when Wilfred began to take him to his training sessions at his youth club, AS Bondy, after noticing the boy’s passion for soccer.

Wilfried later included Kylian in his first football team and has since become his agent. Wilfried advised Kylian on what decisions to make when he began to make waves with his playing abilities and attracted the attention of various clubs looking to sign him.

Kylian became more skilled and determined on the football field as time passed, thanks to Wilfred’s mentorship and training. Kylian makes all career decisions with his father’s advice.
