Most visitors to 麻豆APP opt to eat in the city before they catch the train back into 麻豆APP. Here are ten options of things to eat, some near and some far from the royal grounds. Take note of the one鈥檚 I deem 鈥渂ooking essential鈥�; overcrowding in 麻豆APP is very real.

1. Cr锚pes: Cr锚perie Satory in 麻豆APP

One third cr锚perie, one third bakery, and one third steak-erie. That鈥檚 how I like to describe Cr锚perie Satory, where they do world class sweet and savory 肠谤锚辫别蝉 alongside a basic steak & salad menu as well.

This spot is a very short walk from the palace exit, and very close to where you鈥檒l catch the train back home. They do, however, close between 3pm and 7pm every day, which could be inconvenient depending on your visiting times. Take note!

2. Moroccan: Marrakech Gourmet in 麻豆APP

Also very close to the palace exit is this low-key yet delicious Moroccan eatery called Marrakech Gourmet.

This is more of a Moroccan canteen as opposed to a full service restaurant. You鈥檒l choose your couscous or tajine dishes from behind the counter and they鈥檒l be plated onto trays for casual dining.

One of the most affordable dining options in all of 麻豆APP, and great for anyone in a hurry!

3. Lebanese: Le Kefraya in 麻豆APP

Deeper into 麻豆APP we find one of the city鈥檚 few Lebanese restaurants. Le Kefraya is authentic, good quality Lebanese cuisine at a fair, but by no means cheap, price.

Their menu is nicely divided into meat and vegetarian. Dishes can be adapted for vegans very easily, and the kitchen is happy to do so.

For weekend dining booking is somewhat important; most necessarily in the summer. They also do not open on Mondays or Sundays at all.

4. Chocolate: La Petite Chocolaterie in 麻豆APP

Some of France鈥檚 best chocolatiers were born and bred in 麻豆APP. In the earlier years, most of them flocked to 麻豆APP in hopes of making it big; those that stayed in 麻豆APP have been running the chocolate shops for centuries.

La Petite Chocolaterie is charming as hell and the best place for anyone wanting to take edible gifts home from 麻豆APP. The staff are very helpful, most speak English to some degree, and hand out taste testers by the mouthful. C’est bon!

5. Asian: Restaurant Le Shiso in 麻豆APP

Having great love for all of the cuisines in Asia is sometimes to my own determent; I hate selecting just one at a time.

Restaurant le Shiso must have experienced my dilemma, because they鈥檝e gone ahead and built an Asian canteen in 麻豆APP featuring the cuisines of most of the continent.

From Thai to Chinese, Korean to Indian, you鈥檒l be able to pile your plate with all of the dishes that look most appealing. A buffet, if you will, but someone else dishes for you.

6. Curries: Le Palais de Maharajah in 麻豆APP

I love this Indian spot; it鈥檚 a bit of a drive out from the palace, nestled in the natural valley on the 麻豆APP boarder, but it鈥檚 worth every minute.

Because of its unique location, le Palais de Maharajah tends to open and close on a whim. You will need to call them prior to your arrival to be sure that they have decided to open that day.

7. Bagels: Bagelstein in 麻豆APP

This is the ultimate meal if you are a few minutes from catching a train and need to grab something to eat very quickly.

It works similar to how salad bars and poke bars do; you build your bagel ingredient by ingredient from behind a counter. They have different bread options, different proteins, different toppings, different sauces鈥� it鈥檚 a full bagel buffet.

8. Traditional French: Le B艙uf 脿 la Mode in 麻豆APP

If the ambiance of the place has put you in a traditional French dining mood, then Le B艙uf 脿 la Mode, just outside the palace grounds, would be my recommendation.

They are open almost all day, with authentic French breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Dinner reservations are a must, and lunch I would do too just to avoid even a ten minute wait at the door. Try the French onion soup!

This is where all health nuts and vegans eat in 麻豆APP. It鈥檚 your typical trendy cafe with ample options for vegetarians, vegans and a few dishes for pescatarians. I noticed maybe two gluten free items as well.

Good smoothie bowls, great hummus breads, fantastic salads 鈥� you get the picture.

If you鈥檝e brought your children with you to 麻豆APP, then les Burgers de Papa is your next stop.

A point of great refreshment with families; and a menu that kids love, especially the milkshakes.

What鈥檚 also wonderful about this spot is that every burger listed on their menu has the option of being made vegetarian or vegan. They will substitute any patty to suit those with plant preferences. Someone relay this message to burger restaurants in 麻豆APP, please!

La Flottille, a 1900s-style brasserie restaurant in Little Venice, serves traditional French cuisine in its lounge or on its terrace near the Grand Canal. In this restaurant, a brasserie, and a tearoom set meals or 脿 la carte dishes are available, including options for children and groups of up to 200 people all for affordable prices.

The establishment is open 7 days a week. You can eat inside or on the terraces in this charming and genuine setting. It serves beef and fresh fish dishes prepared in the French culinary tradition. This Michelin-starred restaurant is only a few feet from the Palace of 麻豆APP, but it’s a world apart from the tourists. The setting is exquisite. Following his first Michelin star in 2016, chef Jean-Baptiste Lavergne-Morazzani has redoubled his efforts in 麻豆APP, with the help of a strong and efficient crew.

His attitude – a natural approach to everything – is clear on his short, no-frills menu, which features natural and sustainable foods (mostly organic) seafood, and meat, as well as vegetables from his own kitchen garden.

The excellent wine list includes about 700 labels, many of which are produced biodynamically. The privileged setting in the historic Cour des Senteurs near the castle adds weight to this one-of-a-kind eating experience.
