Through the World Press Photo Exhibition, people in Rome and across the world can have a view of the best photos in the world. This event, held once a year, will be held in Rome for a month, from May 9 to June 9. This is the time for photojournalists around the world to showcase their prowess and allow the public to vet and choose the best photo of the year. 

The World Press Photo Exhibition is organized by a non-profit organization that champions visual storytelling. The photojournalists are determined to show images that have captured natural occurrences and global events, including current affairs, breaking news moments, and sports, among others. These occurrences would be forgotten if they were not captured. 

The exhibition is organized to travel around the world in different countries to inform the viewers and evoke emotions on global matters. 

Having been started in 1955, the event has grown through time and now attracts interest from millions of viewers around the world. 

According to Palazzo Esposizioni Roma, the previous exhibition attracted interest from one hundred and thirty countries, including more than three thousand journalists, over sixty thousand photographs, and thousands of viewers. Therefore, this year’s event would be more interesting and a must-see.
