Nemi in Rome is the place to be on Sunday, June 2, as the town celebrates the Nemi Strawberry Festival. This celebration happens yearly to remember the region’s most loved and celebrated fruit, the strawberry. This tradition has been an annual celebration since 1922, becoming the twentieth century’s beloved event that welcomes all members of the public.

Strawberry is the most expensive fruit in the Alban Hills in Nemi, where the beloved celebration will happen. From 10 a.m. the streets of Nemi will come to life in a festival atmosphere. This is an opportunity to see a variety of strawberries as vendors and stalls line up in the narrow alleyways with their fruits.

You will be able to indulge in freshly picked strawberries and strawberry jams that you have never seen before. 

However, this being a celebration, there will also be a variety of music and entertainment to make sure you have the best memories created in Rome. The local artists, bands, and performers will be live to create a joyful ambiance.

In addition, there will be eating contests where participants will compete to see who can consume more strawberries in the shortest time possible.
