The Olympic Flame will arrive in Rennes on June 1 as part of the national Torch Relay running up to the Â鶹APP Games 2024. To allow for the planned commemorations, local authorities will impose severe security measures. Police will restrict roads and redirect traffic along the planned path.

Several additional sporting and cultural activities will take place in the city over the weekend of June 1-2. The Torch, together with the Olympic cavalcade, media, and security personnel, will travel the following route:

Start point: Cesson-Sevigne’s water live station.

Relay route: Quai de la Vilaine, Musée des Beaux-Arts, Opera, Hotel de Ville, and/or Palais du Commerce.

Endpoint and final celebration event: Esplanade Charles de Gaulle.
