The annual Early Spring: Temptation of the Senses exhibition started on March 7, 2024, and closes this Sunday, March, 17. Held in the Empire Greenhouse within Prague Castle, this exhibition is an endorsement of Eva Pavlov谩, the First Lady of the Czech Republic.

The exhibition aims to connect the worlds of art and flowers. It celebrates the beginning of spring, the awakening of nature, the budding of flowers, and human desires and passions. 

This year鈥檚 event has added a unique twist to the selection of works of art in the exhibition. The paintings, sculptures, and objects are not only featuring historical themes as in previous years. They have captured the work of Czech visual artists of the young generation alongside the spring flora.

Some of the new generation artists whose work is being displayed in the exhibition are Patrik Kri拧拧谩k, Jakub 艩pa艌hel, Ester Knapov谩, and Josef铆na Jon谩拧ov谩 among others.

According to Prague Castle Press, 鈥淚n addition to a joyful celebration of the awaited spring, the exhibition also reminds us that flowers are not only a symbol of purity, beauty, and love but also sensual temptation and transience.鈥�

The Empire-style Greenhouse in the Royal Garden where the event is ongoing opens daily from 10 am to 5 pm. The last entrance admission is at 4:30 pm. The admission fee is CZK 50 (about 1.98 euros). Free charges apply for children up to 6 years. Be aware that the Empire Greenhouse is not wheelchair accessible.
