Londoners and visitors alike, get ready for a riot of color, sound, and flavor! The Notting Hill Carnival is set to take place over the August Bank Holiday Weekend as is custom, and expectations are running high. Crowds will join in London’s biggest street party, and one of the oldest in the world. 

First held in 1966, the carnival is a dazzling celebration of Caribbean heritage and culture, with more than two million people expected to participate this year. The festival features a vibrant fusion of music, dance, food, and art, so here’s what you need to know as you mark your calendars!

What are the dates?

Notting Hill Carnival 2024 will take place on August 25^th (families, children parade), and 26^th (adult parade). On 24^th, the Panorama evening will run from 16.00 to 23.00h as is tradition. Numerous steel bands from across the country will be competing in the UK National Panorama Steel Band Competition, which will take place at Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park, W10 3DH.

What to Expect?
