Wembanyama And Bilal Coulibaly Possibilly Teaming Up At San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs have all the bragging rights to some of the best duos in basketball.

From George Gervin and Larry Kenon to Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, the San Antonio Spurs have had their fair share of formidable forces over the years.

The most notable combination however is Tim Duncan and David Robinson who were dubbed 鈥淭win Towers鈥� during their time at the Spurs.

Both number-one picks in their respective draft years, they went on to win two NBA Championships together, the second one coming in when Robinson was hanging up his boots.

Victor Wembanyama and Bilal Coulibaly both of the Metropolitans 92 have the probability to team up for the San Antonio Spurs this coming season.

Victor Wembanyama is the highly touted draft prospect who is projected to be the first overall pick in the June 22, 2023, NBA draft and as the San Antonio Spurs hold the first pick in the draft they are the favourites to draft him.

To build a team around Wembanyama, the Spurs adding Coulibaly to the roster would mean a lot for the team.

Wembanyama and Coulibaly’s chemistry will click instantly because of their time in Metropolitans 92.

Victor has been the star player at Metropolitans 92 this past season but Coulibaly has quickly been rising on the rating cards lately.

From being a rare starter to being a key player on the Mets team, Coulibaly looks ready to join the NBA soon.

With Wembanyama lately hyping Bilal, a possible reunion with the Spurs would mean the world for Wembanyama and the Spurs too.

Victor has heaped praise on the 18-year-old teammate and according to him, Bilal Coulibaly should be selected right behind him at the top in the 2023 NBA draft, based on a recent article by Bleacher Report.

As seen by Wemby鈥檚 prowess and a Coulibaly addition to the Spurs, the team would be dreaded but for it to even come to fruition the Spurs would have to find a way for a trade.

For the Spurs to acquire Bilal, a trade would be necessary. There may have been discussions about San Antonio returning to the lottery for a point guard, but given his rise and relationship with Wembanyama, Coulibaly would offer comparable value as per Sports Illustrated.

The Dallas Mavericks at No. 10 and the Orlando Magic at No. 11 are two teams who might try to negotiate a trade out of the lottery.

The Spurs might be able to convince a team to make the trade if they included a seasoned player like Doug McDermott or Zach Collins along with No. 33 or a future lottery pick.

This would present a perfect chance for the Spurs to land Coulibaly and believe me when I tell you the havoc that would be rendered to the NBA when these two collaborate would be unmatched.

This duo might get compared to the legendary 鈥楾win Towers鈥� and perhaps through their renaissance the San Antonio Spurs will be back at the top as it was a few years back.
