Linda Yaccarino Thanks New Boss Elon Musk For Appointment

Linda Yaccarino was officially announced by Elon Musk as the new Twitter CEO on Friday. Since her appointment, Yaccarino has remained tight-lipped until Sunday 14th May when she finally broke her silence on the social media platform.

In the tweet, Yaccarino took the opportunity to thank her new boss for the opportunity and express her excitement. Quoting the tweet that announced her appointment she said, 鈥淭hank you @elonmusk! I鈥檝e long been inspired by your vision to create a brighter future. I鈥檓 excited to help bring this vision to Twitter and transform this business together!鈥�

Regarding the role she will play in 鈥渢ransforming the business,鈥� Elon Musk disclosed that she would focus primarily on business operations. Musk on the other hand would focus on product design & new technology.

Since Musk acquired Twitter, advertisers have abandoned the platform out of fear that their advertisements would be displayed next to offensive content because the firm laid off almost 80% of its workers. With a history in advertising, Yaccarino will be tasked with luring advertisers back to the platform in order to up the company鈥檚 revenue.
