It goes without saying that the effort put in navigating personal relationships while being a celebrities can be ten times worse due to social media influence. Jenna Ortega, the star of Netflix’s Wednesday, has recently come into the limelight since she is currently in a situation where she must face her own mother’s anger.

According to the Daily Mail Ortega has been roasted by her mm, Natalie Ortega, after the smoking g images of her daughter went viral on Twitter. The mom went to Instagram and posted on her story about the detailed dangers of smoking, a clear hit at Jenna.

Jenna is heavily wrestling with the fallout from her actions and the discussions have begun on social media as to her independence and her responsibilities to her family. Some fans have however come to her defence and even calling the smoking act ‘hot’ and how it made them more gayer for her.

When Ortega was still young in the entertainment industry, her mother would always drive her to Los Angeles after her shift in the hospital as an ER nurse.

She has always been her number one fan and her biggest supporter. Some would suggest that she owes her career to her mother as she was the one who posted the Wednesday star’s first video that gave her recognition on facebook. A video that got producers and agents knocking at Jenna’s door.

Jenna Ortega has expectations set by the public and her parents, more so her mother. The real question is, will she opt to be independent, putting more strain on her relationship with her mother, or will she try to reach a compromise that protects both her ability to grow her ties to her family?
