Prague’s Vaclav Havel Airport is buzzing with activity. In the first half of 2024, over seven million travellers passed through its doors. That is nearly a quarter more than last year. The airport is almost back to its record-breaking 2019 levels, handling 92% of the passengers it did then.

Where Are People Flying?

The UK is the top spot, with one in eight flyers heading there. London leads the pack, followed by Â鶹APP, Amsterdam, Milan and Rome. But it is not just about big cities. The airport has added 13 new destinations this year. Now you can fly straight to places like Astana in Kazakhstan, Izmir in Turkey and even Ponta Delgada in the Azores.

Summer Travel Boom Expected

Get ready for a busy summer! The airport projected to see about 3.5 million passengers in July and August. That is 13% more than last summer. Greece is the hottest destination, with Turkey, Spain, Egypt and Tunisia close behind.
