Lovers of music will be spoilt for choice with music festivals across Prague and the Czech Republic this summer. From techno, rock, pop, jazz, and more genres, music enthusiasts will have every taste cared for. These concerts begin at the end of May and run through August.

Starting the raving bucket list is the Metalfest concert on Friday 31, May to Sunday 2 June 2024. The event will be held at the Lochotín Amphitheater in Pilsen. Metalfest traces its origin in Austria and it has morphed into a huge occasion for the metal music genre across Europe.

Look forward to performances by some of the biggest names in metal from local to international artists. DEATH PUNCH, Visions of Atlantis, Dimmu Borgir, Eluveicie, Iron Allies, and Avatarium among more will grace the event.

Moving to June, Rock For People will kick off on Wednesday, June 12 to Saturday 15. It will be hosted at the Hradec Králové Park 360 in Hradec Králové. Expect live performers of punk, rock, and various metal varieties. Dating back to 1995, this show draws crowds of over 30,000 people each edition. This year, over 200 artists will be present including The Prodigy, Bad Omens, 311, and more. Beyond music, the program will be packed with film, theatre, workshops, and more activities.

Wizz Air Boosts Flights to Czech Capital

From Thursday, June 20 to Saturday 22 June, 2024 will be the Metronome Prague Festival. The venue will be the Prague Exhibition Grounds. Expect a blend of music and art in hip-hop, pop, indie, electronic, and more. Award-winning artists like Raye, Tom Grennan, and more will be performing.

The last weekend of June starting Friday, June 28th to Sunday 30th will host the Mighty Sounds Festival at Airport Tabor in Tabor. It will include punk, rock, hardcore, reggae, ska, and more related genres. The program will consist of theatre and acoustic performances, film screenings, DJ stages, at least five live stages, sports tournaments, and graffiti displays. Bad Religion, The Hives, Dubioza Kolektiv and more will perform.

Master of Puppets will start July with an entire week of activities from Monday 1st to Sunday 7th July 2024. Look forward to nonstop dancing in Czechia’s countryside at Autocamp Na Kopci. To enhance the fun will be art and the woods surroundings. 31 Stitches, Aka Nina, Ay Jo, and Elemental will be among the performing artists.

From Wednesday 3 July to Saturday 6 July 2024 will be one of central Europe’s biggest electronic festivals, Beats For Love. It will be held at the Industrial National Monument in Ostrava across 15-plus stages with more than 400 performers. The likes of David Guetta, Alok, Boris Brejcha, Lost Frequencies and others.

July events will close with the Bohemia Jazz Fest that will start on Tuesday 9, July to Tuesday 16, July. This show will move around various Czech cities including Prague, Pilsen, Hluboka nad Vltaovou, Prachatice, Domazlice, and Brno. The lineup will feature Iva Bittova, Milan Svoboda Quartet, Osa and more. Admission is free, and no tickets are required.

Proceeding to August, Let It Roll will be held from Thursday 1 August to Saturday 3rd August 2024. As a world-leading DnB festival, the festival attracts over 20000 attendees every year. Drum and bass fans will have music, food, and drinks to enjoy. Among the many performers will be A.M.C, Camo, Bou, Andy C, and Krooked.

Even better, Colours of Ostrava, one of the biggest music festivals in the Czech Republic will run from Wednesday 7, August to Sunday 10th August 2024. Hosted in Dolní Vítkovice in Ostrava, it will spread in at least 19 stages. The program cuts across music, theatre, film, talks, art, and workshops. Besides, the genres feature every taste from rock, indie, pop, electronic, blues, and reggae. Also, soul, hip-hop, funk, and much more. Among artists to grace the event will be Lenny Kravitz, James Blake, Sam Smith, Queens of the Stone Age, Sean Pual, and more.

Furthermore, the 27^th edition of the Brutal Assault Festival will run from August 7 to August 10, 2024. It will be held at Josefov Fortress in Hradec Králové. It features diverse genres ranging from metal, punk rock, experimental rock, and electronic styles. Since 1996, the festival has become a draw over the years.
