Are Fans embracing Jenna Ortega鈥檚 smoking allegation?

The 20-year-old Wednesday star once more made the headlined with the viral video on social media of her smoking. Followers were stunned by the unexpected scene in Jenna Ortega’s cigarette-smoking video, which shows the 20-year-old ‘Wednesday’ star chatting with actress Gideon Adlon.

The video, which was posted by @wstgoat7, appears to show Ortega chatting with her fellow actress while leaning against a wall and smoking. She was clutching a handbag and wearing sunglasses with her hair pulled back.

This unexpected interaction shocked followers, who reacted angrily online.  According to Gossip Bae, the star was reportedly appeared in a lunchtime shoot in London’s Notting Hill. The short clip that is in question was uploaded both on Twitter and TikTok on the 24 of May and has since then the video has gone viral.

The controversial clip has been viewed by almost 30 million times and has sparked so many conversations on the internet. It has ignited some strong feelings among her fans, many of whom have grown up with the former child actress on their screens.

However, other fans did not consider it such a huge concern since they regard the actress as an adult, and she can make her own choices. A fan said that she was “literally just smoking as if this generation isn’t filled with people who vape 24/7”. One person observed, “Y’all own guns in the US but draw the line when someone is smoking a cigarette”. “Who cares if she smokes? Just cause she鈥檚 a celebrity doesn鈥檛 mean anything,” added a third.

Responding to the backlash that Jenna received from the clip, a Twitter user commented: “Very weird energy to bring. She’s an adult and can make her own decisions.” Jenna Ortega however has maintained her silence on the matter and has not given her stand on the issue.

Majority of people were sold by the clip and were quite certain that she was smoking on the clip that has sacculated on the internet. Some non-smokers wrote that they would not mind sharing a cigarette with Jenna, and some said that she is living her best life. Many emphasized that the actress was looking “hot” with the way she was holding the cigarette and smoking.

Jenna Ortega鈥檚 mother reacted to the clip by posting the effects of smoking on her story on Instagram. She responded to the viral video in such a motherly way. Ortega’s mother shared a meme on her Instagram story along with a whopping 12 other images, making social media fans roar with laughter. A fun reacted to the post by saying, “This is HILARIOUS because I can see my mom doing this exact thing. In addition to publicly posting this she’d also send me 20-page long text messages about how bad smoking is. Lol.鈥�

A few other fans also backed the actress actions by stating that since she was an adult and not a child, she had the right to make her own decisions. Other fans added that there were other matters that were more crucial than harboring resentment toward an adult who was smoking a cigarette.
