There is an ongoing exhibition of the works of a great Roman painter, Antonio Donghi, at Palazzo Merulana that started on February 9 and will run until May 26, 2024. Antonio Donghi is a legendary painter who, despite passing away in 1963, his pieces of art continue to live. He was famous for landscapes, still lives, and portrait paintings.

Rome’s almost forgotten and recently revived museum, Palazzo Merulana, is now a hotspot, thanks to the exhibition dedicated to the legendary painter. There are at least thirty different pieces of work by Donghi displayed on the wall in the museum.

Have a close view of paintings such as Lavandaie (1922), Gita in Barca (1934), and PiccoliSaltim-Banchi (1938), among other famous paintings created by this famous Roman painter.

There are also other paintings on the exhibit, including landscape paintings, indoor and outdoor figures, as well as circus characters.

A trip to Palazzo Merulana would turn out to be the best decision one could make. There is not a better time to experience the magical realism up close on exhibit than now. These paintings would turn time back and let you wander through the 1920s and 1930s.
