ANZAC Day is a significant day in the history of war, and more so in Roman history alongside the war allies like Australia and New Zealand. This is the day that is used to remember the shared bonds between these three nations when they fought together in the First World War.

The event, happening on April 25 in Rome, will allow the Australian and New Zealand embassies to celebrate their men who represented their countries in the war against one of the formidable armies at that time.

ANZAC Day can be traced back to the nineteenth century, during the Gallipoli Campaign of the First World War. This was the time when the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) fought hand in hand with the French and British soldiers in an attempt to defeat the Ottoman Empire and capture the Gallipoli peninsula.

The end game of the battle was heavy casualties on both sides, with the ANZAC alongside the British and French troops losing the battle. Therefore, the ANZAC Day celebrations are meant to remember the fallen heroes who put their lives on the line in an attempt to free the world from war.

The service will be held at the Rome War Cemetery, followed by a morning sharing of tea, according to Wanted in Rome. Rome will send representatives and government officials to the event to make sure it runs smoothly. The daily activities will be interrupted by this annual event.
