Mosharraf Karim is a Bangladeshi actor who is popularly featured in both television shows and films. He was born on 22^nd August 1971 in Khilgaon, Dhaka and his birth name is Mosharraf Hossain.

Mosharraf Karim also has a nickname by the name Shamim which is very popular among his close relative. His father’s name is KM Abdul Karim and he has five brothers and five sisters.

He completed his high school studies at a school in his village and later stayed at his brother’s house in Khilgaon after S.S.C. He also joined Tejgaon College in Dhaka where he did his H.S.C and alongside joined a theater group through an audition.

He was very passionate about acting from a very young age where he perfected his skills through theater. He polished his skills by continuously working in the theater for about 16 years.

1. Mosharraf Karim Started his School Life in Class Three

Mosharraf Karim did not begin his studies at the normal age and time but his studies kicked off in class three. This was because his father could not allow him to attend school for the fear that he would get lost in school.

However, his father sent him from Dhaka to Barisal as a child where he began his studies. He was very brilliant and when he was asked to read a poem, he did it perfectly and felt very satisfied.

2. His Talent in Acting was Seen From his Tender Age

Although Mosharraf Karim spent a lot of his time in open-air village mischief which impressed him, he gained a lot of acting experiences. When he was asked to recite a poem in school, he would feel a different feeling inside him.

As a young person, he was Sanskrit-minded and his artistic mentality catapulted him into the spectacular world of art.

He however began his acting career in 1990 in a group theater before later featuring on television and big screen touching several hearts.

3. Mosharraf Karim Married his Brilliant Student

Mosharraf Karim and his beautiful wife, Robena Reza Jui met in a coaching center where he was the teacher and Robena was his student. Robena was a very bright student and Mosharraf liked her from the start but he could not tell her since he was her teacher.

Later, he proposed to his loving wife, and their marriage was established on faith and love which are inextricably linked but very rare in this generation.

Mosharraf Karim got married to the beautiful Robena Reza Jui in 2004.

He also plays some of the most brilliant roles as well as a funny and comical character in dramas. His greatest joy is to entertain his followers as much as he can.

Mosharraf was born in the Khilgaon area where he completed his secondary school in 1986 and seriously ventured into the acting career. He immediately joined the veteran Bangladeshi actor Tarriq Anam and became very committed to pursuing his career. 

He is still a member of that group and still performs from time to time with them. His great natural acting career was developed from his theatre background. 

He also committed his life to work in the theatre where he worked for 16 years.

6. He had a Struggling Start Before Finally Breaking Through

Mosharraf Karim did not just emerge as a popular actor overnight but he work in several stages for a long time. Finally, he has featured in the television drama “Otithi” which was directed by Ferdous Hasan where he played a small role.

He continued to work regularly in television without being recognized until 2004. He was given a lead role in the popular television show “Kyarom” which greatly catapulted his fame as he featured together with Nusrat Imroz Tisha.

Mosharraf Karim’s real birth name is Mosharraf Hossain but he was also nicknamed, Shamim.

Shamim was mainly used among his close family members as well as a few close friends.  His relatives still refer to him by the same name.

After the amazing television film “Kyarom” released in 2004 gained a lot of audience acceptance, he chose to use his stage name, Mosharraf Karim.

Mosharraf Karim’s family is made up of several actors although he is the only one who scaled up to the height of acting. His father Abdul Karim also used to act in different theatres.

Although Mosharraf Karim did not physically see his father acting, he would listen to him reciting.

His beautiful wife Robena Reza Jui is also a spectacular actress who has natural acting skills. They also complement one another as they take different roles in acting.

9. Jomoj and Sikandar Box was the Most Popular Work of His Entire Career

Mosharraf Karim was nominated for several awards for the role that he played including in the movie “Komola Rocket”.

During the nominations, he was selected for the best acting in a comic role which he played in the movie in 2009. He however claimed that the role was not comic therefore refusing the award.

Later on, he urged the board that was responsible to be very careful while making their selections.
