Unlike some queer people who find out about their sexuality later in life, the Pitch Perfect actress says that she knew she was gay even before she became famous. 鈥淚 never thought I was 100 percent straight,鈥� she told the People in an interview.

However, the starlet has experienced opposition in the past and the most recent one is in her relationship with her girlfriend Ramona Agruma. Wilson and Agruma met through a mutual friend but first communicated by phone before meeting. They knew that they were meant for each other from the first time they spoke. To make everything clear, Wilson took to her Instagram account to introduce her new girlfriend and explain to her fans who did not know she was queer.

鈥淚 thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I needed all this time was a Disney Princess,鈥� she wrote on her Instagram to her eleven million fans, adding a heart and rainbow emoji and the hashtag that said love is love. Her post was enough evidence to show the world that she is queer.

Although Rebel Wilson explained that she is queer and identifies with the LGBTQ+ community, she refuses to put a name on her sexuality. She insists that labeling herself is not necessary since many people in the world don鈥檛 identify with any particular gender.

The famous actress believes that she is gender fluid and that identity has pushed her to co-creating an online dating application for the gender fluid people. She was interviewed by the People where she explained the details of the application. She says that if the app existed more than five years ago she would have found her lover earlier.

“This is the first dating app where you don’t have to define yourself or tick a box to say ‘I’m straight, I’m gay, I’m bisexual,’ and you don’t have to describe what you are looking for,鈥� she said in the interview. According to Wilson, the app will help gender-fluid people find love sooner and help them come out of the closet.

Rebel Wilson and her girlfriend Agruma have explained to their fans on Instagram about their engagement and intention to get married. However, they face an obstacle with Agruma鈥檚 family who have not accepted the relationship.
