Max Verstappen was born on September 30, 1997 in Hasselt, Belgium. Hasselt is the capital and largest city of the province of Limburg in the Flanders region of Belgium.

Max Verstappen attended St. Ursula School in Maaseik, Belgium. Max Verstappen quit school when he was 15 when it became difficult to combine school and racing. Only two years later the Dutchman arrived in Formula 1.

Max Verstappen is Red Bull’s second world champion. As the youngest driver to start a Grand Prix, Verstappen was always considered a teenager on the grid. His aggressive driving style makes him incredibly fast and he is often compared to Ayrton Senna.

1. Verstappen father put him in a go-kart when he was four years old

Max’s father, former F1 driver Jos Verstappen, said he kept his son close to the engine when he was a small child. “Max was four-and-a-half when I first put him in a go-kart. It wasn’t too nerve-wracking because he’d been on a quad since he was two, so he had experience of speed and driving. He had done a lot before I put him in the kart. “Max started racing when he was seven years old and has been racing and winning ever since.

2. Max tried to bribe his driving instructor.

Interestingly, the Dutch driver didn’t even have a driving license when he started competing in F1, aged just 17. Max liked that his driving instructor was very strict he had prepared a hat and a shirt in case he is to bribe, but he wouldn’t accept! Because of this, F1 introduced a new “Verstappen” rule. Drivers must be at least 18 years old to compete.

3.Max Vestappen racing junior division

Max started karting when he was four years old. In 2010 Max was already in international karting. In the KF3 World Championship, Verstappen finished second to Alexander Albon ,his eventual F1 teammate at Red Bull Racing. In 2011, Max Verstappen won his WSK Euroseries with his Parrilla-powered CRG.

In 2012 Max won the WSK KF2 Master Series by defeating CRG driver Felice Thiene. At the age of 15, Verstappen won his KZ World championship in 2013 in Varenne-sur-Allier, France, where he won the KZ1, the highest category of karting. In 2014 Max Verstappen will take part in the Formula 3 Championship for the Van Amersfoort Racing Team.

Max would finish the season third in the championship behind Esteban Ocon and Tom Blomqvist. Along the way, he impressed Big Boss and was selected for Red Bull Racing’s junior team. Max made his F1 debut in 2015 for his Red Bull sister team, his Scuderia Torro Rosso, becoming the youngest driver ever to race in F1.

4.Verstappen Dutch supporters are hardcore

His BMX pro in the Netherlands, Twan Van Gent, is a huge Verstappen fan and says much of his country feels the same way. If you go to your local petrol station, you’ll see Max everywhere in Holland. Also, if you watch TV and have ads, Max will appear in 70% of cases. I think 95% of Dutch people know him. 

McFadyen added that Dutch fans have been waiting a long time for a rider they can consider. They race on tracks with hot tubs and double beds. They’re there to have fun. With Max’s arrival, the Dutch army can have a hero to support. 

This is the Dutch way of helping, says Van Gendt. It’s on the same level as when you get together and watch football or watch Max Verstappen.

5. Max can switch off his brain to distractions 

Albon said he was surprised that Max seemed to be immune to the factors that made many drivers uncomfortable during the race. For example, wind or instability while driving.   Max can turn his mind off when it comes to this part of the race.

Coulthard agrees. When one hears Max laughing and joking on the radio  some people get confused. Running at 200 mph is not distracting. It focuses on multiple solutions. If you drive on a track with 15 turns, you have to make 15 decisions every minute and 30 seconds. Not too much.

Meanwhile, you can take a break and enjoy the scenery. This will allow Max to differentiate between what he’s working on, what he’s doing, and what he wants to share with his engineers.

6.verstappen let Lewis Hamilton step up his game

This was the first season the pair had rolled properly and produced a fierce one-on-one battle that has not been seen in years.

Verstappen seems to be improving from Grand Prix to Grand Prix but Mercedes’ Hamilton is clearly improving his game. Lewis has a real title fight ahead of him that he has never had before. Mercedes had to go into second gear and focus more than ever on the championship.

Lewis who had to search a bit more than Max. There’s a lot of respect between them, but Max isn’t embarrassed by this whole situation.

7.There are no limits to what Max Verstappen can achieve

One thing about him is clear to most experts. That said, Max has a bright future, far from the best. Max will be remembered as one of the best F1 drivers of his time, said McFadden. He has a magical talent.

I have no doubt he will win the world title, adds Coulthard. Only the gods of racing can stop Max from becoming world champion.

8.He is one of the best FIFA players in the world.

One of Max Verstappen’s favorite hobbies is playing video games and in fact he is one of the best FIFA players in the world. The F1 driver, known by his online gamertag ‘crgboy007’, was ranked 21st in the world in January 2019 in FIFA Ultimate Team game mode and 31st in the world in August, according to FIFA statistics site Futwiz.

The Dutchman has also taken on one of his F1 drivers and video game enthusiast Lando Norris. He has his own Twitch channel and has beaten Lando in all three of his games played. Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner has revealed Verstappen will play 14 hours on the weekend of the 2021 United States Grand Prix.

He’s probably played 14 hours of FIFA football that weekend

9.Max is a fan of PSV and FC Barcelona.

Verstappen’s love of football isn’t limited to video games. He loves some clubs. He loves football. His favorite team in the Netherlands is PSV Eindhoven, but internationally let’s say FC Barcelona,” he told DAZN.

10. In Max Verstappen  first Formula 1 victory, his father had a nosebleed.

Verstappen became the youngest driver to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix. 

Verstappen was promoted to his Red Bull team in May 2016, just four races into the season. The Dutchman eventually made history by winning the Spanish Grand Prix, his first race for the Austrian team, becoming the youngest driver to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix.

“It started with five laps to go, thanks to excitement and focus,” he told Red Bull. “It was crazy. There was a lot of pressure. My father had a nosebleed. I can’t even imagine what it was like to sit in the driver’s cab and watch the final lap go by.”
