15 outstanding Black Marvel Actors who鈥檝e Made Their Mark

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films that are produced by Marvel Studios. The films produced are based on characters that appear in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

The Marvel studios release its films in groups called 鈥淧hases鈥� Some of these films include Captain America: Civil War, Iron Man, The Avengers, Spider-Man Far From Home, Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Blade among many others. They also produce television series which are amazing. Here is a list of 15 Marvel actors who have made their mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

1. Michael B. Jordan

Michael B. Jordan is a black American actor. He has been active in the entertainment industry since 1998. His fans have praised him for his great acting performances. He began his acting career in 1998 when he appeared shortly on single episodes of the television series known as Cosby and The Sopranos.

 He gained wide attention when he played the pivotal role of Wallace in the first season of HBO鈥檚 The Wire. He has made a mark in the black Marvel Actors.  He portrayed the character of Erik Killmonger in the film 鈥淏lack Panther鈥�. He also played boxer Adonis Creed in the film Creed. 2. Lupita Nyong鈥檕

Lupita Amondi Nyong鈥檕 is a Mexican-Kenyan actress. She is the daughter of the Kenyan politician Peter Anyang鈥� Nyong鈥檕 and was born in Mexico where her father was a teacher later at the age of three they moved back to Kenya.

She has been active in the industry since 2005 to present. In the year 2008 she made a debut in the acting industry with a short film known as East River and immediately after the film was over she came to Kenya where she starred in a television series known as Shuga.

Since then, she has starred in numerous movies, and she has received numerous critical acclaim. In 2018 she progressed in her career and took the role of Nakia in the film 鈥淏lack Panther鈥� in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her performance in the film 鈥�Black Panther鈥� has been praised for her strength and grace. She has left a good mark on the Marvel actors and is always remembered when ranking the best actors.

3. Danai Gurira

Danai Gurira is a Zimbabwean-American actress and playwright. She is best known for her starring roles as Michonne on the AMC horror drama series The Walking Dead. Gurira began her acting career in theater and has appeared in several Broadway productions including Eclipsed.

She has also appeared in several films and television shows which include Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Life on Mars, and Treme. She has also made a big mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe where she acted as Okoye in the films Black Panther (2018) and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022). Her performance was amazing and had a lasting impact.

Letitia Wright is a Guyanese-British actress. She began her acting career with guest roles in the television series Top Boy, Coming Up, Chasing Shadows, and Black Mirror. Over the years she has perfected her acting skills until she has received awards and nominations.

She gained global recognition when she took part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She played her role as Shuri in the film Black Panther. As a result of her amazing performance, she won an NAACP Image Award and a SAG Award.

5. Winston Duke

Winston is a Tobagonian- Rwandan actor. Winston started acting in theatre productions for Portland Stage Company and Yale Repertory Theatre. In 2014, he made his Broadway debut in the play Eclipsed which was written by Danai Gurira. While still at Yale he befriended Lupita Nyong鈥檕 with whom he later starred in Black Panther.

Winston has made a mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In 2018, Duke made his feature film debut in Black Panther as M鈥橞aku the leader of the Jabari tribe. He is best known for portraying the character in four films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The four films include Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever all of them as M鈥橞aku.

6. Angela Bassett

Angela Bassett is a black American actress. She is married to Courtney B. Vance and has two kids. Her acting skills have been seen in both film and television. Her breakthrough came after portraying singer Tina Turner in the biopic 鈥淲hat鈥檚 Love Got to Do with it鈥� in which she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress and also won the Golden Globe Award.

Some of the films she has starred in include Malcolm X, Waiting to Exhale, and London Has Fallen among many others.  Also, she has a big mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe where she played Queen Ramonda in the films Black Panther, Avengers: Endgame, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. For the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever she won a Golden Awards and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Forest Whitaker is a black American actor, producer, and director. He is famous and has starred in numerous films and has become a recipient of many accolades which include an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a British Academy Film Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Forest has a positive mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In 2018, he played the role of Zuri in the film Black Panther. Zuri was a great and loyal adviser to T鈥機haka, the previous king of Wakanda, and T鈥機halla鈥檚 father. His acting skills were awesome and helped to anchor the films with his powerful performances.

Don has played the role of James Rhodes also known as War Machine in seven Marvel Cinematic Universe films and has a big positive mark. He is among the best-ranked actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and his performances have been praised for consistency and reliability.

9. Antony Mackie

Antony Mackie is a famous black American actor. He has been active in the industry since 2002 until today. His amazing acting skills have been shown in both films and television shows.  Antony has a big mark on the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
