From time to time, there has been a rise in awareness in the entertainment industry when it comes to Hispanic actors. Even though they are underrepresented in Hollywood, there are 11 actors who have won the Academy Awards. They have been able to pave the way for aspiring actors and have broken down barriers in the entertainment industry.

In Hollywood, there are organizations that are created to increase the representation of Hispanic actors. Some of them include the Hispanic Association of Media Arts & Entertainment. However, these numbers do not reflect on the impact these actors have made in the industry.

He is a Puerto Rican actor and filmmaker who is known for his roles in the films Traffic, Sicario, and The Irishman. He was born on February 19, 1967, in San German, Puerto Rico. Benicio began his acting career in the 1990s, especially in the film The Usual Suspects. After his performance in the film Traffic, he received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

In his directorial career, he is known for The Last Conversation and Sicario: Day of the Soldado. Benicio has been praised for his intense acting style which makes him a talented actor.

2. Antonio Banderas

He is a Spanish actor and director known for his roles in the films Desperado, The Mask of Zorro, the Shrek franchise, and the Spy Kids film series. He was born on August 10, 1960 in Malaga, Spain. Antonio has received a number of awards including a Golden Globe and a Cannes Film Festival Award.

He was also nominated for an Academy Award. It should be noted that Antonio is the founder of the Antonio Banderas Foundation which supports education and cultural projects in Spain.

5. Cesar Romero

He was an American actor of Cuban and Spanish descent. He was born on February 15, 1907 in New York City. He is widely known for his portrayal of the Joker in the Batman television series. 7. Ricardo Montalban

He was a Mexican actor who is known for being an international success. He became famous for his role in the Star Trek franchise and Fantasy Island. Gabriel was born on July 15, 1976, in San Diego, California.
