10 Facts About Arkadiusz Milik

Arkadiusz Krystian is a Polish professional footballer. He plays as a striker for Serie A club Juventus on loan from Ligue 1 club Marseille and the Poland national team, and he is among well paid footballers in the world.

The 28 year old player started his football career in III Ligue. In 2011, still in Poland, he signed a one-year contract with Górnik Zabrze, and in 2012 he transferred to Bayer Leverkusen in Germany. He was later transferred on loan to FC Augsburg and Ajax respectively.

In 2015–16, Ajax purchased him on a four-year deal for a reported €2.8 million fee. On 1 August 2016, he joined Italian club Napoli for €35 million, effectively replacing Gonzalo Higuaín. On 21 January 2021, he joined French club Marseille on loan from Napoli.

1.Born in Tychy, Poland

He was born on 28^th February 1994, in the city of Tychy, is a historic Fiat headquarters, Poland.

Since Milik was very young when his little known father left home, he has no memory of him.

He was informed that his father had drinking problem that’s which led to his departure.

He has an older brother Lukasz Milik, an employee Gornik Zabrze, where he performs  he coaches  and inspires young people.

2.His Passion for Football Started at a Tender Age

Although his father was a drunkard, he was once seen taking Milik to a falcon Tychy match when he was one year old.

His mother handed him over to Slawek Mogilan who curbed his excesses and guided him along an honorable path.

As Lukasz watched over Maliki’s interest in football during his early years, he become his major supportive pillar.

As a junior he played in the club Rozwoju Katowice youth squad from 2000 to 2010.

3.Rozwój Katowice Was his First Club 

Milik began his career as a youth player for Rozwój Katowice and played in the reserve team during the 2009–10 season.

 On 23^rd October 2010, the 16-year-old made his III Liga debut when he scored two goals in a 4–0 victory over KS Krasiejów.

He went on trial at Górnik Zabrze, and scored one goal in two appearances for the club’s MÅ‚oda Ekstraklasa team.

Together with his teammate Wojciech Król were on trial with Reading, Tottenham Hotspur and Legia Warszawa.

8.Ajax Made a €32 Million on His Transfer

Arek Milik he was transfered from Ajax to Napoli, the Amsterdam football club in August 1^st 2016.

In 2018, Amsterdam club took over Milik from Bayer Leverkusen for 2.8 million euros. According to Marc Overmars, director of Ajax’s player policy, Ajax really wanted to keep Milik.

But when it was announced that he would not leave, higher and higher amounts were offered for him.

 The transfer window was open for a month, and it gave them the opportunity to attract a worthy replacement.

Milik is a versatile and well-rounded left-footed forward who is also capable of playing off another forward as a second striker or as a winger, due to his ability to both score and create goals.

10.He participated in both UEFA, EURO and FIFA World Cup

On 11 October 2016, Milik scored the opening goal in a 2–0 win over world champions Germany in a 2016 UEFA Euro qualifying match.

This was Poland’s first win over Germany, who had not lost in 19 competitive games and 33 previous qualifiers

Milik formed a successful strike partnership with Robert Lewandowski during qualification for the European Championships.

In Euro 2016, Milik scored for Poland in their opening game, beating Northern Ireland 1–0.

 He also netted his attempt in his nation’s penalty shootout exit to eventual champions Portugal in the quarter-finals.

Milik also appeared in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

 His nation was defeated 2–1 in their opening match against Senegal, and then lost 3–0 in their second group match against Colombia.

 Poland managed a 1–0 win over Japan in their final group match, but were eliminated in the first round.
