The café breakfast was born with influences from abroad, including Australia and New Zealand’s breakfast culture.

Rather than a set menu, Erich encourages you to create your own breakfast combo. From a vegan or egg base, you build your breakfast by adding extras like smoked salmon, mini sausages, bacon, mushrooms, chorizo or vegetarian options.

3. Palmenhaus

Palmenhaus is located on the grounds of Burggarten and adjacent to the National Library and Hofburg Imperial Palace.

The beautiful glasshouse house is filled with some impressive and exotic plants. The building was built in the 19th century, originally intended to be used as a summer greenhouse for the Emperor at the time.

The restaurant offers a decent choice of traditional cuisine and many “Brunch-style” dishes – sandwiches, cereals and fruits, and the option of a special Austrian breakfast which normally usually consists of Semmel (a type of round bread roll) with butter, muesli, cold cuts of ham, smoked bacon (Speck), cut sausages, and a boiled egg.

Café Ansari is located at Praterstraße, Vienna, Austria and founded by a couple hailed from Georgia and Lebanon.

The café is a modern Viennese coffeehouse with its menu incorporating both Vienna and Orient, with a little Russian thrown there. The coffee here is of high quality.

Café Ansari is known for its 3 breakfast options; The Georgian breakfast involves a very tasty, and very cheesy, Khachapuri which is a Georgian dish of cheese-filled bread crowned with an egg in the middle.

Everything is fresh, and all the breakfasts come as mini works of art. There’s even a little flower on some. The dimly-lit interior resembles an old Austrian Gasthaus. For cat lovers, you will enjoy watching the cats roaming and napping with the cafe.

Enjoy the Lovely Sunday breakfast (muesli with yoghurt and a weird strawberries and rocket salad combination) or the Caorle breakfast with prosciutto crudo, grana, homemade jam and vegetable antipasti.

The café creates a great relaxing atmosphere with the veranda, decked out in coloured tables and chairs, is a wonderful place to enjoy the evening sun and the large park.

While at Jausen Station, sample one of Vienna’s most famed desserts or a brunch dish. A popular choice is the bread with chives – a classic Austrian snack.
