Where to drink the best Coffee in Houston

Humans have been getting their daily coffee drink for longer than most people realize. Last year the oldest-operating coffeehouse in the world, Caffè Florian in Venice, celebrated its 300th anniversary,

The City of Houston was founded in 1837 after Augustus and John Allen had acquired land to establish a new town at the junction of Buffalo and White Oak bayous in 1836. Houston served as the temporary capital of the Republic of Texas.

Yale Street Grill had been serving up Houston with cups of coffee with scrambled eggs since 1923.

But Houstonians weren’t necessarily immersed in the wider world of coffee consumption, in the latte, the espresso and the other then-exotic alternatives.

The Seattle-based coffee chain Starbucks changed that and now we have roughly 300 area locations and many people love the skinny lattes.

However, there’s a lot more to coffee as nearly every culture has its own approach to how it uses those beans and the results are distinctive and delicious.

Houston attracts people from all over the globe thus many coffee traditions can be sampled in independent coffee shops, mom-and-pop eateries and posh cafés that serve our city’s large immigrant populations.

This guide will point you to where to drink the best coffee in Houston.
