Skylight on Vesey, located along the waterfront in Lower Manhattan’s Battery Park City, is close to New York’s bustling Brookfield Place and The Oculus, in the heart of NYC’s Financial District.  Patrons are immersed in 300,000 cubic feet of flawless projections animating Vincent van Gogh’s oeuvre, allowing them to experience art like never before. Wandering through captivating, moving images, highlights brushstrokes, detail, and color – truly illuminating the genius’s mind.

Van Gogh’s works will immerse you, from his sunny landscapes and night scenes to his portraits and still life paintings. The installation includes the works Les Mangeurs de pomme de terre (1885), La Nuit étoilée (1889), Les Tournesols (Sunflowers, 1888), and La Chambre à coucher (The Bedroom, 1889), among others.
The experience takes you on a journey through the artist’s brilliance and madness, as well as organic landscapes from his imagination.
You will encounter Van Gogh’s art in a completely new and unforgettable way, thanks to its incredible scale and breathtaking imagination.

Massimiliano Siccardi designed and conceived the exhibition, and Luca Longobardi composed the soundtrack, both of whom pioneered immersive digital art experiences in France.
This exhibition contains sequences of bright flashing lights that may cause photosensitive epilepsy in visitors as well as those who are sensitive to moving lights. Viewer discretion is advised.

Visitors are advised to get a flex pass. It is more expensive, but it allows you to arrive up to 2 hours ahead of your time slot, rather than 15 minutes before, relieving you of the pressure of arriving on time. With the Flex Pass, you can also rebook for a different date, which is useful if you get sick or need to attend to an unexpected emergency.

The immersive experience show becomes quite loud. If you are prone to headaches as a result of very loud surround sounds, it is best to get some free earplugs. It’s always a good idea to keep your ears protected.

There are numerous social distancing circles on the ground for guests to sit in separately from one another. Some of the circles have benches, but the majority of them have floor seating. Outfits should be comfortable enough to sit on the ground (no tight mini skirts or jeans!).

There is a standing room as well as a viewing platform (with stairs) that visitors usually ascend. Because the room is extremely dark for the art to be projected and viewed,  flats are the best choice of footwear. Just to make it easier to walk around in the dark or stand for an hour.

The show is about 35 minutes long and runs in a loop. Visitors should find a nice circle to sit in if they want to see everything at once. Later, one can get up and walk around, maybe climb onto the viewing platform, for another 20-30 minutes to take in the art in a different way. Pro tip: this is a great place to stop before a dinner date!

In low-light situations, most phones now automatically activate the flash. If you use the flash while taking a video or photograph, a guard will immediately come over to reprimand you. Before you begin recording, double-check and confirm that your flash is turned off.

For visitors using private means of transport, the parking rate for two hours is $42 plus tax. Every additional hour is $23 + tax.
Parking can be paid for at the ticket counter in the lobby. RVs and oversized vehicles are not permitted.
