Donald Trump Jr. was born on 31 December, 1977 in Manhattan. He is the first-born child to Donald Trump and his first wife, Ivana. Although he was named after his father, the Los Angeles Times states that Trump Jr. was not always the doting son.
Trump Jr. went to high school at The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. In 2004 when Trump Jr. was 12 years old, his parents got a divorce. The New York Magazine published the story since Trump Junior’s father had made the divorce a public affair, which was not easy on Trump Junior.
As compared to his younger siblings, Trump Jr. was more aware of what was happening and was angry with his father. He spent a year hanging up on his father and would refuse to speak to him when he called.

1. Trump Jr. spent his childhood summers in Czechoslovakia

As a child, Trump Jr. spent almost two months every summer in Czechoslovakia with his grandparents. His maternal grandfather, with whom Trump Jr. is close, taught him outdoor skills and encouraged him to play outside till dark.
2. Trump Jr. attended the same university as his father and sister

Just like his father and sister, Trump Jr. went to the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance. He studied real estate and finance and had a reputation as a big partier.
It is said that Trump Jr. was often seen drank around campus and did not try to live up to the name built by his father.
Additionally, his former classmate is quoted as saying Trump Jr. despised his father and did not like the attention his last name drew. Trump Jr. officially quit drinking in 2003.
3. Trump Jr. lived in the back of a truck for a year
After his graduation from university, Trump Jr. lived in the back of a truck in Aspen, Colorado. During the year he took off from studies and work, Trump Jr. fished, hunted and worked as a bartender on occasion.
During this time, while he was in the woods, Trump Jr. developed patience and a need for silence. In his 2016 fundraising speech in Salt Lake City, Trump Jr. said that he realized the benefits he got from being in the woods by himself.
4. Trump accepts a free USD 100,000 ring to recreate his marriage proposal
Trump junior’s father introduced him to Vanessa Kay Haydon in 2003. Vanessa was a model who had dated Leonardo Di Caprio. When Trump Jr. proposed to Vanessa, he was given a USD 100,000 wedding ring to recreate the proposal in a mall in New Jersey.
The couple got married at the Trump family’s private Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on November 12, 2005. Trump Jr. and Vanessa have five children named Kai who was born in 2007, Donald III born in 2009, Tristan born in 2011, Spencer and Chloe who were born in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
5. Trump Junior started his own building materials company

When working for his father’s company, Trump Jr. finished putting up a building and asked his father to name it Trump Jr. but his father refused. In 2010, Trump Jr. and two of his business partners started a building materials company known as Titan Atlas Manufacturing.
In 2012, Titan Atlas Manufacturing ceased operations after tax liens were filed for unpaid sales and withholding taxes.
6. Trump Junior worked alongside his father and sister during his father’s presidential campaign

Trump junior’s love for hunting was harnessed during his father’s presidential campaign. The campaign team wanted to use his love for hunting to relate to the American people. However, a 2010 picture of Trump Jr. and Eric posing with a dead leopard caused some issues.
A separate photo of Trump Jr. holding a knife in one hand and a detached elephant’s tail in the other made things worse. Nonetheless, their father went on to become president.
7. The Los Angeles Times described Trump Jr. as a “virtual attack dog”

Trump Jr. became his father’s most vocal defender after Trump Sr. took over the Oval office. In March 2017, Trump Jr. tweeted a quote from London Mayor, Sadiq Khan.
The tweet came after a terrorist attack in Westminster and made it seem like Trump was relaxed about terrorism. Mayor Khan’s tweet on the other hand was 6 months old.
8. Trump Junior was accused of being in touch with WikiLeaks
During the 2016 election period, information on Hillary Clinton’s was published from hacked emails. In November 2017, The Atlantic reported that Trump Jr. was in touch with, the anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks which published the information.
9. Trump Junior was heckled during his book tour in UCLA

During Trump Junior’s book tour at UCLA, loud conservative supporters heckled him offstage when he declined to answer questions. Trump Jr. said he did not want to give the media sound bites that the left wing social media could distorted.
Trump’s book still made it to the top of The New York Times best-seller list, despite the heckling. The Republican National Committee contributed to the success by making a USD $94,800 bulk purchase.
10. Trump Jr. worked at Trump Place in New York City, the historic West Side Yards redevelopment
Before joining Trump Organization in 2001,Trump Jr. worked at, Trump Place. This is one of Manhattan’s most successful and ambitious large scale development projects. Spanning several blocks, which featured 17 buildings, the project created a new community.
Thereafter, Trump Jr. led the development of Trump Park Avenue. With tremendous success, Trump Jr. led the conversion of Hotel Delmonico to an ultra-luxury residential condominium on Park Avenue at East 59th Street.
