Christine Diane Teigen is an American model and television personality who was born on 30th November 1985 in Delta, Utah. Vilailuck, her mother is from Thailand and her father, Ron is an American of Norwegian descent. Her family relocated from Delta to Snohomish, Washington where her parents ran a tavern.

At the age of 15, Chrissy Teigen and her family relocated to Huntington Beach, California while her mother returned to Thailand. She started working at a surf shop where she managed to land a modelling campaign with the clothing company Billabong through the shop’s clients. This is when she was discovered by a photographer.

During her early modelling career, Chrissy used to live in Miami and Florida for four years, six months out of the year. Her professional modelling career debuted in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2010. She later appeared on the 50th anniversary cover alongside Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge in 2014.

1. Chrissy’s Talent was Discovered at the Age of 15

After being discovered at the age of 15, Chrissy Teigen officially made her professional career later. She became a briefcase model on the Deal or No Deal during the first and pilot season.

Brooklyn Decker, a friend and fellow model introduced her to the people at Sports Illustrated to cast her which was a perfect platform to showcase her talent. Chrissy managed to appear in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue and was named ‘Rookie of the Year.

This book went on and became a New York Times bestseller and second-best-selling cookbook of the year 2016. Her second book was released in September 2018. This book is titled Cravings: Hungry For More. Chrissy also released a clothing line in collaboration with the fashion company Revolve in 2017.

In 2006, Chrissy Teigen met with singer John Legend during his music video shoot for the song ‘Stereo’ in which she played his love interest. The two became engaged in December 2011 after four years of dating. In September 2013, Chrissy and John Legend got married and celebrated their wedding on 14th September in Como, Italy.

Her husband’s song, ‘All of Me’ was dedicated to her. The couple lives in Beverly Hills, California. Chrissy and John Legend have two children, a daughter born in April 2016 and a son born in April 2016.

9. She Celebrated One Year of Sobriety from Taking Alcohol in 2022

Chrissy Teigen has been undergoing several tough situations in her life. She has been involved in online controversies with some renowned people but she apologised. In 2020, Chrissy announced she had aborted the due to health risks.
