The Bulls’ founder, Dick Klein, was the Bulls’ only owner to ever play professional basketball (for the Chicago American Gears). Following the 1966 NBA Expansion Draft, the newly formed Chicago Bulls were permitted to sign players from the league’s existing clubs for the following 1966–1967 season. Da Bull was another mascot for the Bulls. He was introduced in 1995 and was characterized on the team website as Benny’s high-flying cousin famed for his dunking prowess.

In 2004, the actor who played Da Bull was jailed for possessing and selling marijuana from his automobile. Soon after the event, Da Bull retired. While Benny is a more kid-friendly design, Da Bull is a more realistic bull. Da Bull, unlike Benny, was brown. He wore the number 95 and had a meaner look.

The Bulls established an NBA record in 1995–96 when they won 72 games, a mark that remained until the Golden State Warriors won 73 games in 2015–16. Before the 2015–16 Warriors, the Bulls were the only NBA team to win 70 or more games in a season. They were the first club to accomplish it in NBA history.

9. Bulls have an unofficial tradition of wearing black shoes

The Bulls started wearing black shoes during the playoffs in 1989, and it has since been an unofficial tradition for them to do so whether they are at home or away. Brad Sellers, a former Bulls backup centre, proposed that players wear black shoes to symbolize teamwork. Similar to the University of Michigan and the Fab Five, who established the trend in college sports earlier in the decade, they were the first team to wear black socks with black shoes for the 1996 playoffs.
