Is Wednesday season 2  no longer at the top of Jenna Ortega’s list of greatest forthcoming projects?

The hype surrounding Jenna Ortega’s executive producer role for Wednesday season 2 has been crazy. However her potential roles in major horror films are now more intriguing to the public. The amount of attention she is getting for her possible role in Beetlejuice 2 alongside Michael Keaton is increasing and from what it seems, she is loved for her list of horror roles.

The release dates of the Wednesday have not yet been released but on their official twitter page it was stated that season two was renewed and it would premier soon. Everyone’s eyes were focused on this until Jenna’s new project. These horror film roles are so exciting to the public and her fans that Wednesday season 2 is no longer at the top of her list of best upcoming projects. According to Screenrant, Jenna Ortega is becoming a certified Scream Queen.

Before Wednesdays’ debut, Jenna Ortega was known from various films. Even though Jenna Ortega did films like Jane The Virgin, majority films that brought her to the lime light were horror films.  She was part of major horror films like X, Scream, You and The Babysitter: Killer Queen. It seems like she is going back to her roots and people are definitely loving it.

Jenna gave an exceptional performance as Tara Carpenter in the sequel Scream 6 and her possible role in the horror-comedy sequel Beetlejuice 2. Scream 6 release date was initially scheduled for 31at march 2023 but it premeired early march on 10^th March. The film is a sequel to Scream 2022. Jenna stars alongside icons like Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Hayden Panettiere. The film is filled with more greasy murders and more causality than any other film in the series.

The possible casting rumour of Jenna Ortega is one of the most trending casting announcements of recent horror sequels. Jenna Ortega’s popularity can be majorly associated to these horror films. It may be a bad thing or a good thing as horror films aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. Watching people getting murdered by a serial killer in a ghost face mask might not win everyone. Therefore she might lose a few following is she sticks to horror.

Beetlejuice is a Tim Burton film and he released in 1988. According to Collider news, the show is the most iconic horror comedies ever made. While Ortega will have more creative control over Wednesday season 2 after the news that she will work as an executive producer and as Wednesday, people cannot stop talking about the possibility of her collaboration with Michael Keaton who played the character of Betelgeuse. If Jenna plays the show it would really tie her in the horror film industry and knowing her she will own the character and play the role to perfection. All I know is that she will not disappoint. The film is still in the pre- production level meaning the trailer might take a bit of time before it is released.
