Brendon Urie has, for the longest time, been a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community even before he identified as a queer man. However, his interview with the Paper has made everything clear to his fans across the world. The House of Memories singer took his time to explain to the world that he is pansexual. “I’m married to a woman and I’m very much in love with her, but I’m not opposed to a man because I like a person. Yeah, I guess you could qualify me as pansexual because I really don’t care,” he told the Paper in an interview.

The singer explained in the interview why he does not pick and choose the person he falls in love with. He says that his attraction to a person does not entirely depend on the person’s gender identity. He looks for something beyond gender in both men and women. “If a person is great, then a person is great. I just like good people, if your heart’s in the right place. I’m definitely attracted to men. It’s just people that I am attracted to,” he added.

In an interview in 2017 with The People, Urie put on record his feeling about being bisexual. He believed that gender is a fluid thing and he could not claim to be entirely straight. According to him, being queer is something normal and people should never be afraid to tell the world about who they truly are. “It’s never been a weird thing. It doesn’t freak me out” he told the People.

Although people feel that being pansexual is weird, his viewpoint is different.
