They have two 60-foot bars and a reserved table for bottle service on the mezzanine floor, where you can catch the best views of the crowds below.  

Echostage, as the name suggests, has the best lighting and sound systems. Their DJs are talented and are from around the globe. Additionally, they have live music shows every so often.

2. 9:30 Club

The 9:30 Club has had several locations around town with each new location being bigger and better space.

This club has been in operation since 1980 and has continued to be known for serious DJ beats, touring acts, and a blend of events suitable for all types of revellers.

Inside is a standing room with a couple of barstools set on the balcony. These stools get occupied fast!

3. Soundcheck

This club is ironically known as the “quietest club in D.C.”. It has one of the strongest sound systems in D.C.

The club is lined with four inches of soundproofing foam. This helps to absorb feedback from the 80,000 watts of sound that are pumped through Soundcheck’s $200,000 system.

As one of the newest clubs in D.C., Soundcheck has attracted the ever-growing dance culture in the city. Here you will listen to the best of Techno, House and Trance music.

On Saturdays, LGBTQ Washingtonians take over the dance floor with glowsticks and body paint.

4. Cloak & Dagger

This next venue is where to go spend your fun weekend nights. The club features Victorian-era décor with hip-hop, Techno and wild DJ nights.

Furthermore, they also have featured acts and theme nights to keep regulars and visitors on their toes.

The club was established by a renowned break-dancer, Sonny “Ghost” Tran, therefore, break dancing on the dance floor is a common occurrence here.

On the upper level of the club are DJ booths while the dance floor is below it. Partying here does not stop until 3 am.

This club-cum-bar is located up the stairs where you’ll find a bar, some tables, and a small dance floor.

On the next level, is a rooftop bar decked out with a DJ booth, a larger dance floor, and VIP tables. You will need to make reservations ahead of time.

Indulge in some strong drinks, enjoy the hookahs, and free water. There are doormen and a security check, so make sure your attire is stylish.

Here, your night will be what you make of it. You will be free to live out to the hype while meeting new people.

6. Cafe Citron

At first, you may think this is just another restaurant serving delicious Latin American foods. Well, that is its day job, its night job is to pump up the volume and switch up the lights.

Clubbing sessions start at 10 pm with super DJs spinning Latin house, Techno, pop, and reggaeton tunes.

When they are not playing salsa, they are letting you relax with some Techno sounds. There is a strict dress code on the weekends, so take note of that.

7. The Park at 14th

This next club was launched in 2007 and is a popular joint for Washingtonians. You will find several locals enjoying after-work drinks, a festive dinner or brunch, or a night out with friends.

The club has glorious views of the historic Franklin Square Park from the bar. Furthermore, the bar features rich wood walls, granite bar tops, and custom hand-blown glass lighting.

Located on four floors, this establishment has five bars where you can grab your drink. Also, you can opt to sit on comfortable upholstered chairs.

The dress code is very strict here so dress to impress, otherwise, you may be turned away at the door.
