1. Triple H

Born Paul Michael Levesque, Triple H, as he was commonly known in the ring, is an American business executive, actor, and retired professional wrestler. He ranks as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time and currently serves as the chief content officer for WWE.

One of the most decorated wrestlers the list of his achievements cannot be exhausted. A few of which include; being a five-time Intercontinental Champion, a three-time world tag team champion (two World Tag Team Championship reigns, and one Unified WWE Tag Team Championship reign), a two-time European Champion, and a fourteen-time world champion, making him the company’s seventh Triple Crown Champion and second Grand Slam Champion.

He is also a two-time Royal Rumble match winner and a King of the Ring tournament winner. Later in his career, Triple H gained notability for his behind-the-scenes work at WWE, creating the developmental branch NXT, and gaining praise for his business acumen in professional wrestling.

Outside wrestling, he has been a figure of substantial media attention due to his marriage to Stephanie McMahon, daughter of Vince McMahon and the CEO of WWE.

Alan Shepard was an astronaut, naval aviator, test pilot, and businessman. He was born on November 18th, 1923, in Derry, New Hampshire. He is remembered as being the first American and the second man in space on May 5, 1961, when he piloted the Mercury spacecraft Freedom 7 on a 490-kilometer (300-mile), 15-minute suborbital flight.

3. Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler is a comedian, actor, and musician. He was born in Brooklyn, New York September 9th, 1966, and then moved to Manchester, New Hampshire, at the age of 6. He grew up there and attended Manchester Central High School.  Adam became a successful comedian and was cast on Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1995, after which he continued to star in many films.

A proud son of New Hampshire, he has received various accolades, including nominations for three Grammy Awards, five Primetime Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

In 2022, Sandler produced and starred in the 2022 sports drama film Hustle, which received critical acclaim. His performance in the film was repeatedly singled out for praise and it earned him a nomination for a Screen Actors Guild Award.

4. Seth Meyers

Seth Meyers is a comedian, writer, producer, and television host. He is known for being a cast member and head writer for Saturday Night Live and his own talk show, Late Night with Seth Meyers. During the 2008 United States presidential election, Meyers wrote the sketches for former SNL cast member Tina Fey, who returned as a guest star to impersonate Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Meyers created the famed phrase uttered by Fey’s Palin, “I can see Russia from my house.

5. Matt Bonner

Matt Bonner is also known as the Red Rocket or Red Mamba and is a former NBA basketball player and a celebrated personality in New Hampshire. In his teens, he played basketball at Concord High School and helped to lead them to three state championships.  Bonner played college basketball for the University of Florida until the Chicago Bulls chose him with the 45th overall pick in 2003 for the NBA draft. During his career, Bonner played 12 NBA seasons for the Toronto Raptors and the San Antonio Spurs with whom he won two NBA championships.

6. Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore is a talented American singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born in 1984 in Nashua, New Hampshire. In 1999 Moore rose to fame with her debut single, 鈥渃andy.鈥� She has performed in many Hollywood films such as Princess Diaries and A Walk To Remember. She did the voice work for the loved animated classic, Tangled. Moore is currently starring in the popular NBC TV show ‘This Is Us.’

From 2016 to 2022, she starred as Rebecca Pearson in the NBC family drama series This Is Us, receiving nominations for a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. In 2019, Moore was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Sarah Silverman is a successful stand-up comedian. She was born in Bedford, New Hampshire, in 1970.  She performed her first stand-up comedy routine when she was 17 and performed in Greenwich Village for a time. She is best known for jokes addressing different social taboos and controversial topics. She has been on SNL and has created her own comedy show, The Sarah Silverman Show. Silverman has been nominated for two Emmy awards.

She rose to fame with her brief stint as a writer and cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live during its 19th season between 1993 and 1994. Her comedy roles address social taboos and controversial topics, including racism, sexism, homophobia, politics, and religion, sometimes having her comic character endorse them in a satirical or deadpan fashion. She has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for her work on television.

8. John Irving

John Irving is a great American novelist and screenwriter. He was born in Exeter, New Hampshire, in 1942. He grew up there and was a part of the Exeter wrestling program in High School. In much of his later work, you can see wrestling shown in his books and stories. He established his reputation with the novel The World According to Garp (1978; film 1982).

Irving achieved critical and popular acclaim after the international success of The World According to Garp in 1978. Many of Irving’s novels, including The Hotel New Hampshire (1981), The Cider House Rules (1985), A Prayer for Owen Meany (1989), and A Widow for One Year (1998), have been bestsellers. He won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay at the 72nd Academy Awards (1999) for his script of The Cider House Rules.

Salinger is a writer best known for the American classic, The Catcher in the Rye. This book has served as a resonant expression of alienation for several generations of adolescent readers and adults who have considered themselves at odds with the norms and institutions of American society. He grew up in New York City and was drafted into World War II, where he landed at Utah Beach in France during the Normandy Invasion, and was a part of the Battle of the Bulge. During this time, Salinger continued to write.

Two years after his book, The Catcher in the Rye, Salinger retreated to Cornish, New Hampshire, where he lived out the remainder of his days.
