The meals prepared can only be equated to divine culinary experiences.

1. Ithaa Undersea in the Maldives is the first underwater restaurant in the world

Located in the Maldives on Rangali Island, your meal will cost about USD 320 per person. It’s headed by Marco Amarone, an Italian-born Italian-born chef. The restaurant accommodates up to 14 guests and is located five metres below the Indian Ocean.

The restaurant offers panoramic views of the ocean’s coral and marine life. The European flavour meals are either four-course lunches or six-course dinners. To make a reservation, you need to be staying at Conrad Rangali. This is the island’s main five-star resort.

2. At Arakawa in Japan, Your Food Selection determines the Final Cost of Your Meal

Arakawa in Tokyo is located in the basement of an old office building. Instead of a tasting menu, it offers an a la carte menu. A meal usually costs about USD 260 to 370 per person.

Your final price will be determined by what you eat. The price is not based on the dining experience but on the food quality. Kobe and Wagu are some of the fine beef meals that make this restaurant popular and come at a considerable price.

3. Kitcho Arashiyama in Tokyo Serves Seasonal Dishes Only

There are six Kitcho Arashiyama restaurants in Japan but the one in Tokyo is considered the best. It’s a three-star Michelin restaurant and offers a ten-course tasting menu. For USD 380 to 570 per person, this restaurant offers some of the world’s finest ingredients.

Arashiyama has low tables and tatami mats offering beautiful views of the garden. It’s also known for its beautiful decorations and surroundings.

Run by Chef Kunio Tokuoka, this restaurant serves meals available during the season. A lot of attention to detail is observed during the timing and presentation of each course.

4. Guy Savoy Has Several Successful Restaurants in France

Guy Savoy has two restaurants bearing his name. One is located in Las Vegas and the flagship restaurant is in Âé¶¹APP. Both are Michelin-star restaurants. Guy Savoy has four other successful restaurants in France and is responsible for training Gordon Ramsey.

For USD 385 to 626, the restaurant in Âé¶¹APP offers a 13-course tasting menu. The meal focuses mainly on meat. You will enjoy john dory, barbecued pigeon, marinated duck, oyster concassé, aubergine caviar monkfish, and sautéed ceps among others.

5. Restaurant De L’Hôtel De Ville is one of the Top Restaurants of 2019

Located in Crissier, Switzerland, La Liste voted Restaurant De L’Hôtel De Ville as one of the top Restaurants of 2019. Run by Chef Frank Giovani, this restaurant has three Michelin stars. It has a fantastic dining experience and the quality of food is outstanding.

For USD 415 per person, the restaurant offers an 11-course tasting menu. The menu includes crystalline de charlotte Imperial, Ossetra caviar, mussels with saffron and young fresh salad leaves. To complement your food, you can choose a wine from the 40-page wine list.

6. Maison Pic Valence has been operational for more than a century

This generational restaurant has been operational for more than 100 years. Located in Âé¶¹APP, it’s headed by Sophie Pic, one of the world’s few female chefs running a three-star Michelin restaurant.

For USD 445, you will enjoy a nine-course meal. The food comprises Banon goat cheese berlingots, Mediterranean Rouget in a saffron broth, and deer marinated in sake lees squab. It also includes the best chocolate desserts.

7. You Need to Make a Reservation For the Unique Experience at Masa

This New York restaurant is known for its simplicity. It offers simple sushi meals which focus on essential flavours. Chef Massa Takayama heads the restaurant. Excluding drinks and taxes, the food costs USD 595 per person.

This restaurant doesn’t have an actual menu and prepares fresh ingredients available only on the day. For a unique experience and some of the world’s best sushi, you need to make a reservation. Reservations are made at least four weeks in advance.

8. The Ultraviolet Restaurant has only one table

Located in Shanghai, this restaurant has only one table that accommodates up to ten people. For USD 570 to 900, you will enjoy between 10 – 20 tasting courses. Each course highlights a different ingredient and is presented in state-of-the-art ways.

Headed by Paul Pairet, this three-star Michelin restaurant seeks to provide an all-around experience. As you eat, there will be audiovisual effects in the background as it aims to appeal to all human senses.

9. Per Se is the world’s second most expensive restaurant

Located in New York, this restaurant opened its doors in 2004. It’s known for exquisite flavours and fantastic presentation. It’s also Thomas Keller’s second three-star Michelin restaurant.

For USD 680 per person, it has a total of three tasting menus. It offers a nine-course menu, including a vegetarian option. The most popular menu choices are based on American and French cuisine. 

It also has over 2,000 bottles of award-winning wine to choose from. The 19-table restaurant offers views over Central Park and the Columbus Circle.

10. Sublimotion is open only four months a year

At a cost of USD 2,380 per person, this is the world’s most expensive restaurant. Located in Ibiza, the restaurant offers a 20-course tasting menu. It’s run by Paco Roncero, a two-star Michelin chef. In 2014, the restaurant was awarded the Best Innovation Food and Beverage Award.

The restaurant is open only during the Spanish Summer from 1st June to 30th September. It provides an exceptional dining and entertainment experience. Over the three-hour dining experience, a twenty-five-person team will present your 20-course meal. An edible ticket is provided after you make a reservation, and it’s best to eat it after you get to the restaurant.
