10 Best Water Parks in Houston


 

Houston is located in Southeast Texas near Galveston Bay and Gulf of Mexico. It is the largest city of Harris County and the principal city of the greater Houston metropolitan area. 

According to the metropolitan statistical area in the United States of America, Houston is the second most populated city in Texas. Houston is the southeast anchor of the greater megaregion known as the Texas Triangle.

Houston is the ninth most expansive city in the United States of America with a total area of 637.4 square miles (1,651 km2). It is the largest city in the United States by total area, whose government is not consolidated with a county, parish, or borough. 

The large population is favorable to the water parks which offer a variety of fun filled water games that are open to the public and,  of course, with a certain amount of cash worth the service. 

The activities offered in most of the parks include the underwater marine mural, race down the slides, underwater treasure hunts, foot lazy river, heated lagoon-style pool or play with little ones at Puffy’s Spray ground.

During the fall and winter, both the waterfall pool and double helix slide/pool are heated to over 85 degrees, plus you can cozy up on the pool deck. with s’mores and toasty beverages. 

1. The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park

The park is rated 4.8. A great venue and the cistern is amazing with a very nice water works stage. What’s more, the skate park is well done and looks beautiful.! Great area. The Cistern is amazing. The Water Works stage is very nice.
 
2. Waterwall Park
 
Definitely a fun spot to check out in Houston! It’s a touristy spot because it has an insane amount of water that falls from the great heights, it is a man-made waterfall that is pretty spectacular to see.
 
It’s also very close to the Galleria. It’s nice when the weather is beautiful. One can opt to take a stroll in the park nearby and enjoy the mist from the waterfall.
 
3. Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park

The Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park, formerly the Williams Waterwall and the Transco Waterwall, is a multi-story sculptural fountain that sits opposite the south face of Williams Tower, in the Uptown District of Houston.
 
The fountain and its surrounding park were built as an architectural amenity to the adjacent tower.

4. Forest Oasis Waterpark

The heart of excitement at The Woodlands Resort is the Forest Oasis pool complex. A vast poolside waterscape surrounded by three luxurious guestroom buildings with easy access pool walkout rooms.

It also has the panther trail golf course and the towering pines of the lush forest.

There are 30-foot tower to the underwater marine mural below, race down the slides, go on underwater treasure hunts, or meander your way down our 1,005-foot lazy river. One can opt to relax in the heated lagoon-style pool or play with little ones at Puffy’s Spray ground.

The weather at Houston can get very hot. Therefore, a visit to the park is worth a try for a refreshing moment!

This is one of the most absolutely awesome place to visit! Great family get away that won’t break the bank. Fun filled park suitable for families or friends. 
 
The outstanding activities include slides and splash. However, there are  entertainment attractions for children and adults of all ages.

7. Typhoon Texas Waterpark Houston

 
This is a family friendly water park located in Houston, Texas. It is spread across 25 beautiful acres in Katy, Texas. There is no better way to beat the Texas summer heat than to cool off in the pool.
 
Slide down 33 different water slides, lounge in the lazy river, and grab a bite while spending quality time with friends and family.
 
There are live entertainment from Tidal Wave Bay during the Summer Concert Series. There is always something exciting happening at Typhoon Texas.
 
8. Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures

Good Waterpark with a spacious space. The amusement park offers slides and there is a place for pizza and soft drinks.

There are good shades under the trees which are usually occupied. However, being a new waterpark, more work is being carried out and so expectations are high for an exciting place.

9. Grand Texas

Most activities in this park begin at noon when the sun is warm enough for the guest to enjoy the waters.
 
A great place for a noon walk in the park before or after getting into the water because the the concessions are very well.
 
Great stuff for kids with very friendly staff.  A great experience for couples big slides. Racoon run for kids was awesome and so a good place to visit.

10. Downtown Aquarium

Great spot for the entire family. The riding a train and going through a shark tunnel is so amazing. There are fishes, tigers to see making it an exciting outing with the family and friends. Of course it is a great adventure worth visiting.

Of course, for those who have never seen a shark at close range, this is the place to visit. All the same, you cannot be alone in this park as divers are always busy ensuring that all tanks are clean and nice for anyone ready to use.

The splash is amazing but always advisable to carry own towel and swim clothes.

The fact that Houston city is among the most expansive cities in the United States of America makes it an ideal place for the parks to thrive because of the flow of people.

During summer seasons, the parks are very busy as many people go to cool off from the hot temperatures and particularly children.
