Apart from the fact that Lviv Brewery is the most famous in Ukraine, it is also among the most famous breweries in Ukraine. The museum is the parent producer of Lvivske beer.

2. Museum of Brewing was founded on the 290th anniversary of the Lviv Brewery

Lviv Brewery became one of the largest breweries of Baltic Beverages Holding in 1999. Lviv Brewery was established in 1715 with Robert Doms, an entrepreneur, tycoon, philanthropist, and public figure, as its owner.

The location of the museum is not concealed. You can get there from Market Square in about 30 minutes. The actual location of the museum is at Kleparivska Street 18.

4. Tasting of brews is allowed in the museum

The tasting costs an additional 35UAH in your ticket to the museum. Once you pay the 35UAH you are given four types of beers to taste. The beers offered for tasting include; Robert Doms American Style ALE, Lvivskie – White Lion, Lvivskie Dunkel, and Lvivskie 1715.

After the fall of the Jesuit Order, the brewery was first taken care of by private entrepreneurs. Robert Doms was one of the private entrepreneurs who owned the brewery.

Doms is a legendary figure of the Lviv brewery, the owner of the brewery on Kleparivska street, during which he gained unprecedented fame.

8. The museum of Brewing was open to visitors in 2005

On October 14, 2005, on the occasion of the 290th anniversary of the Lviv Brewery foundation, the first Ukraine Brewery Museum was opened in Lviv. Lviviarnya became the only beer museum in Ukraine, which includes a cultural space, a restaurant for tasting, and a museum with unique exhibits and modern design.

9. Lvivske is the oldest brand of the Museum of Brewing

As stated early, Lvivske is a brand of Ukrainian beer produced by the Lviv brewery since 1715. For those of us who were keen, 1917, is the date when the history of the museum started as Lviv Brewery.

Therefore, this makes Lvivske the oldest brand of the brewery. Lvivske was there, it has been there, and it will be there.

10. The museum is under the leadership of the Carlsberg Group

When it was established in 1715, the Jesuit monks owned the brewery but the one who gave the permit was the Polish Count Stanislaw Potocki. After the fall of the Jesuit Order, private entrepreneurs like Robert Doms became owners.

Carlsberg is a Danish multinational brewer. Founded in 1847 by J. C. Jacobsen, the company’s headquarters are in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company is the current owner of the brewery and museum at large.

A monument to Lviv breweries was erected at Lviv. It bronze sculpture of a brewery with a beer barrel. You can learn the basics of beer making when you visit the museum. The recommended drink is the Dunkel.
