Danson Tang is a Taiwanese model, actor and singer who started his brilliant career as a commercial model before he decided to pursue his acting career and later singing. Tang was born on 2nd September 1984 in Keeling, Taiwan. He is the youngest of a two-child family with his sister being four years older than him.

Danson Tang was raised by his mother only and spent most of his time lonely at home. His father suddenly died due to a work accident when he was fourteen years old. His mother had to take care of his sister and him through hardship.

Tang’s sister used to study abroad which made him stay alone at home as his mother left to find employment. His relatives and neighbours would occasionally check out for him and make sure he is okay. This loneliness made him not able to open up to others about his feelings.

Danson Tang studied at Hsing Wu University where he majored in English after his early life struggles. He is now able to converse in English, Mandarin Chinese and simple Cantonese which he learnt while working in Hong Kong. 1. He was Raised by His Mother after His Dad’s Death

Tang was born and raised in Keelung, Taiwan. He is the youngest of two children in his family. His father died in an accident that occurred at work while he was fourteen years old.

His mother was left with the duties of taking care of him as well as his older sister. Danson Tang used to be left home alone while his mother left to find employment opportunities. He was always lonely with some relatives and neighbours occasionally visiting to see how he is doing.

2. Tang’s Elder Sister used to Study Overseas and was Left Alone at Home

After the death of his father, Danson Tang’s sister went to study abroad. This made him get left home alone all this while their mother went to seek employment.

His sister, occasionally visited home during holidays while she studied overseas. The loneliness made a great impact on his life.

3. Danson Tang used to Work at a Japanese Restaurant

The loneliness did not hold back Danson Tang who used to study hard. He got an opportunity to study and advance to college.

During his college time, Danson Tang had to work hard to earn money to cater for his basic needs and lessen the financial burden on his mother. He used to work part-time at a Japanese restaurant during his college years.

While working part-time at a Japanese restaurant, Danson Tang’s talent was discovered. Danson started his career as a commercial model.

Danson Tang was contacted by Taiwanese television station GTV for an acting management contract. His mother helped him review his new career endeavour and signed with GTV in 2014 to act in the dramas aired on their network.

Danson Tang started his acting career by appearing in minor supporting roles. He eventually moved up to main cast roles after he was cast as the villain in the 2005 popular idol drama KO One.

6. He felt Overshadowed and Left GTV’s Management for CBE

Danson Tang was not given major lead roles in several films aired by GTV. He became the second male lead in Rolling Love film after Yan’s leg injury which did not please him.

Rolling Love’s subpar ratings made Danson Tang feel overshadowed and underpromoted by his acting management company. Danson Tang decided to leave GTV management in 2011 and signed with Comprise Boundless Entertainment (CBE).

Tang continued with main supporting roles in several Mainland-produced dramas. Danson Tang later landed his first leading role in a major production in 2012.

7. Danson Tang Officially Began his Music Career in 2007

After their commercial modelling career and acting, Danson Tang wanted to explore entertainment history more. On the 9th day of July 2007, Danson Tang officially signed his music contract with Avex Taiwan.

He released his debut solo album known as Love Me on 17th August 2007. After his first debut album, Tang released D’s New Attraction in 2009 and The First Second in 2010.

Danson Tang released his first new song plus collection compilation album called Towards Tomorrow’s Journey on 26th April 2011. This was in two versions, Guardian Edition and Journey Edition which contained 15 previously released tracks and three new songs.

Other than music, acting and modelling, Danson Tang is also talented in writing. He has written four books which revolve around his life.

His first book was released on 4th December 2007 titled Danson Tang’s Photo Novel The Lost Paradise. On 15th April 2008, he wrote his second, Danson Tang Photo and Writing Collection.

His third book was released on 8th December 2010 known as DANSON TANG. His last book, In the Land of the Sacred and Love Danson Tang, was released on 21st March 2012.

9. Danson Tang is a Close Friend of Fahrenheit Member Jiro Wang

Tang has several friends because of his celebrity status. However, he became close friends with Fahrenheit member Jiro Wang. This came after many collaborations and also the way they share the same birth sign.

Danson Tang and Jiro Wang previously stated they enjoyed shopping for clothes and accessories together during their days off. Tang was often mistaken as a member of Fahrenheit during their collaboration days.
