The Hot spring is found in Wulai District, New Taipei, Taiwan. Every week it produces water which is alkaline and carbonic acid at a temperature of 55 to 80 degrees Celsius.

After the discovery, they called the area Uraikirofu which was an Atayal name for steaming springs, from these original words, the name Wulai was derived.
