Lake Davos is a natural reservoir formed by a landslide from the Totalp in the Parsenn area. The lake has a maximum depth of 54 meters (59 yards). In the summer, the water temperature rises to a pleasant 20 °C (68 °F). There are numerous sports and leisure activities available for all water lovers. The bathing beach is easily accessible on foot from Davos Dorf.
There are also parking facilities. There is an open-air lawn near the bathing beach, as well as cloakrooms, showers, restaurants, and a kiosk. You can also rent lockers and sun beds. There’s no admission fee.
Lake Davos has 3.8 km (2.3mi) of banks and is surrounded by steep pastures and forests. It is also an excellent location for a short hike followed by lunch at one of the lakeside restaurants. After that, take a short walk to the lush, 18-hole golf club.

It is a natural lake in the Swiss town of Davos. It has a surface area of 0.59 km2 and a maximum depth of 54 meters. The lake is used as a hydropower reserve; its water no longer flows to the river landmasses, but is channeled into the river land quart at Klosters.
It is fed by the sources of the Rhine, Flauelabach and Totalpbach, among other mountain creeks. Lake Davos, with an area of 59 ha, is one of Switzerland’s three largest Swimming Lakes / Beaches.

Pack for a picnic while walking through the idyllic mountain landscapes of Davos Kloster. Countless campfire spots in beautiful settings invite walkers to take a well-deserved break. The councils in the districts of Davos and Klosters maintain some campfire spots that are equipped with wood. You can also enjoy a relaxing campfire in one of the fire pits provided at the water’s edge of the beautiful swimming lake.
6. There are numerous parking lots and restrooms at the lakeside
You can reach Lake Davos by taking the Swiss freeway A13 to the Land quart exit. From here, take the Kantonsstrabe 28 to Davos. There are approximately 200 parking spaces at the lake’s end, just before entering Davos Dorf. Furthermore, there are numerous restrooms available where one can change clothes.

Lake Davos has a wide range of recreational opportunities. Aside from table football, beach volleyball courts, and paddle boat rentals, there is also a sailing and surfing school on site. The thermal winds provide ideal wind conditions for surfing and sailing at Lake Davos. This is especially true for beginners and intermediate students.
Lake Davos is well-known for match racing. Two teams sail against each other in two identical boats, requiring team spirit, endurance, and tactics. You can participate even if you have no sailing experience. Match racing is appropriate for businesses, organizations, and clubs. Two to five people are needed for the sport. There is also pedalo riding, which is suitable for families.
8. The lakeside has an unbeatable White Christmas Walk
Walking around Davos Lake is beautiful all year, but especially during the Christmas season. The stillness of the water, with barely a ripple, combined with pine trees so laden with snow that the branches are all folded down to near breaking point, creates a most beautiful and magical experience. You can feed the squirrels and birds that seem to appear out of nowhere with a fresh bag of peanuts.

After a long day, you can relax with a BBQ at the lake in the evening. There are two fireplaces and tables right on the lake on the east side of the lake. While grilling, you can watch the sunset.
10. The Graubünden loop trail is located near Lake Davos
It is generally regarded as a difficult route. It takes an average of 8 hours and 9 minutes to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and mountain biking, but you can find some peace and quiet during the day. The trail is open all year and is lovely to visit at any time.
