Raadhika Sarathkumar is an Indian actress, entrepreneur, producer and politician who works predominantly in Tamil cinema along with Telugu cinema as well as a few Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada films. She is the founder and CP of the Radaan Mediaworks India Limited and did film productions in most of the south Indian languages. she is a recipient of six Filmfare Awards South, two Nandi Awards and three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

Raadhika is the daughter of the late Tamil actor and comedian, M. R. Radha who hails from Tamilnadu and Geetha who is a Srilankan. Raadhika did her education in India, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom. She has a younger sister Nirosha, who is also an actress, and two younger brothers, Raju and Mohan. She also has an older half-brother Radha Ravi. Born on August 21, 1963, in Colombo, Sri Lanka she is known for Nyayam Kavali (1981) among others. 1. Radhika Sarathkumar was a Politician

In 2005, According to reports, the 58-year-old actor stated, 鈥淚 have been doing television programmes so far. Now, I will gradually reduce my engagements and actively pursue politics.鈥�

She joined before the 2006 Assembly elections to join the AIADMK along with her husband R. Sarathkumar. In  2006, she was dismissed from AIADMK for anti-party activities.

In response to the statement, Raadhika stated, 鈥淚 was actually shocked when she (Ms. Jayalalithaa) gave the card to me. However, out of respect for my husband and Jayalalithaa, I accepted it. But I am not a member of the AIADMK or any party for that matter. I am not into politics.鈥�

Her announcement on social media left her fans with a heavy heart. In a video posted on her Instagram page, the actor further explained her decision. Sharing that she was overwhelmed with love and support from fans, Radikaa pointed out that she will be splitting her time between her company, Radaan Mediaworks, and Sarath Kumar鈥檚 political party All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi. She was the deputy general secretary of All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi from 2007.

But determined to pursue something she believed in, namely producing her own TV software under Radaan Mediaworks, she started the same in 1994.

3.  She is the Daughter of M.R Radha

Madras Rajagopalan Radhakrishnan (1907 鈥�1979) was an Indian actor and politician active in Tamil plays and films. He was given the title “Nadigavel” (spearhead of acting) by Periyar E. V. Ramasamy.

He mostly played villain roles but had also acted in several films as a comedian. Radha was a popular theatre artiste who performed in more than 5000 stage shows. Starting at the age of 10, he appeared at first in small roles and eventually grew to a level that stories for dramas were custom-made for him.

Radha gained popularity with the success of his stage play Ratha Kanneer. His performance in the 1954 film version of the play, directed by Krishnan鈥揚anju, brought wider recognition of his talents and made him a household name in Tamil Nadu.  In the 1960s, roles were specially written for him, and he often overshadowed actors like MGR and Sivaji Ganesan.

She was a judge on Vijay TV’s Jodi Number One Season 4. Jodi Number One is a series of reality dance show on the Indian STAR Vijay channel. Its contestants are couples who are generally TV stars in their own right, often from the television industry. Prem & Pooja were the winners of the first season; Tinku & Preethi were the winners of the second.

The show has the unique concept of celebrity couples competing against one another. Major names in the television industry were given a platform to showcase another side of their persona. The show’s concept has originally derived from Nach baliye, the show had created a niche for itself on the small screen. Vijay TV gained fame through this reality show. Now Vijay channel is considered to be telecasting the best reality shows.

Raadhika Sarathkumar is an Indian television and film actress, entrepreneur and producer. She is the founder of Radaan Mediaworks India Limited, which has produced successful serials Chitti, Annamalai, Selvi, Arasi, and Idi Katha Kadu. Radhika has also acted in the serial Chellamay for Sun TV then started playing a double act as twin sisters in the new serial programme Vani Rani.

She was a judge on Vijay TV’s Jodi Number One Season 4. She has also produced a film titled Meendum Oru Kaadhal Kathai, which won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director.  The actress was awarded Best Telugu Actress for Nyayam Kavali (1981), Best Tamil Actress for Dharma Devathai (1986), Neethikku Thandanai (1987) and Keladi Kanmani (1990).

She has won 1 – National Film Award (Producer), 6 – Filmfare Awards Souths, 3 – Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, 1 – Cinema Express Award and 1 – Nandi Award.

6. Radhika Entered the Scene with a Bang

She made her cinematic debut in 1978 Tamil Movie Kizhakke Pogum Rail. Then she started acting in many Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam films. She has also produced a film titled Meendum Oru Kaathal Kathai (1985), which won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director.

She debut under the direction of Bharathiraja. The film music was done by Ilayaraja. The actress played the female lead role in the film and impressed many within her debut performance. This is one of the best performances of the actress. The film ran for over 365 days in theatres. It was remade in Telugu as Toorpu Velle Railu (1979) and in Hindi as Saveray Wali Gaadi (1986).

Sarathkumar Ramanathan born in 1954 is an Indian actor, politician, filmmaker and singer. He has acted in more than 130 Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. He has won two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards South.

Originally a bodybuilder and later journalist, in 1986, Sarathkumar started his acting career in the Telugu film Samajamlo Sthree. He first acted in villain roles and later played supporting roles before establishing himself as a lead actor in subsequent years, earning him the titles Supreme Star and Super Hero in Tamil cinema.

Radikaa tied the knot with actor Sarath Kumar in 2001, and has two sons Rayane and Rahul.  She was married twice prior to marrying actor Sarathkumar. Her first marriage to the Malayali actor-cum-director, Pratap K. Pothan, ended in divorce. As did her second marriage to Richard Hardy, who is a British national, and by whom she has a daughter named Rayanne Hardy.

They had been friends before their marriage and had been paired in two films: Namma Annachi (1994) and Suryavamsam (1997).

Madras Rajagopalan Radhakrishnan Ravi, popularly known as Radha Ravi- an Indian actor and politician who has established his career broadly in multiple fields, such as; films, television series, politics, web series, direction, and production as well.  Ravi Radha is mainly known for the supporting roles played throughout his career. He was born on 29th July 1952, and is the son of M.R.Radha. He is also an ex-chief member of the Nadu Film Artistes鈥� Association. Moreover, he faced controversies over the extreme criticism of other film celebrities.

Among other notable awards and honours, he won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize in 1989 for the film 鈥淪olaikuyil鈥�. Also, he won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Character Artiste (Male) in 2004 for 鈥淥ru Murai Sollividu鈥�.

10.  Radhika and Sentenced to 1 Year

Tamil stars Sarathkumar and his wife Radhika were sentenced to 1 year in jail in a cheque fraud case by a special court. After the sentencing, Radhika tested positive for COVID-19. Sarathkumar and Radhika have filed an appeal seeking a stay of the sentence and thus was shifted to a hospital.

However, during the same periodRadhika and Sarathkumar were also campaigning actively across Tamil Nadu. Also, it’s worth mentioning that Radhika was healthy and registered her vote in the Tamil Nadu Assembly.
