Enrique Iglesias is a Spanish singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. He is widely regarded as the King of Latin Pop. He was born on May 8, 1975, in Madrid, Spain.
Enrique started his recording career in the mid-1990s and since then became the best-selling Spanish artist of the decade.
He has long since crossed over into English music and as of October 2020, Iglesias holds the number-one position on the Greatest of All-Latin Artists charts.

1. Enrique scores two World Guinness World Record
International pop star Enrique Iglesias has over 200 awards under his belt, and now he has been honored with two Guinness World Records.
The first record recognizes he has the number one singles on the “Hot Latin Songs” Billboard Chart. From 1995 to 2015, he sang 26 hits.
The second record is for the longest stay as No. 1 on the Hot Latin Songs chart. His international hit “Bailando” first topped the charts on May 17, 2014, and it stayed there until February 25, 2015 — that’s 41 weeks.
2. Whitney and Enrique recorded a song together without ever meeting
The celebrated duet “Could I Have This Kiss Forever,” between soul super-diva Whitney Houston and Enrique Iglesias, reeks of sexual tension and claustrophobic desire.
The recording process, however, couldn’t have been more clinical, with both stars singing their parts in different continents for the original version of the cut, which appeared on Enrique’s English-language debut album, Enrique.
The pair did eventually meet when it was decided a more midtempo pace would suit the Diane Warren composition for a single release in 2000, and a subsequent steamy video suggested that, despite the initial physical distance between them, the chemistry had been there right from the start.

Iglesias attended Gulliver Preparatory School, a private high school in Miami, where he participated in his first live performance in a school production of Hello Dolly.
He then attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida where he studied business but dropped out after a year.
After dropping out of the University of Miami, Iglesias traveled to Toronto to record his first album.
