Alvaro Antonio Garcia Pérez, also known professionally as Alvaro Morte, is a Spanish actor. He rose to international prominence as ‘The Professor’ in the television series Money Heist.

1. He studied engineering

Alvaro Morte is a fantastic actor and director with his own theater company, 300 Pistolas, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a backup plan. When the gang needs to dig through something in Money Heist, The Professor’s engineering background always comes in handy, and Alvaro Morte’s engineering background may have something to do with that.

Alvaro Morte worked as an engineer before becoming a full-time actor. There is little information about the scope of his practice, but he is a qualified communications engineer, which is relevant to his role in Money Heist.

2. His most difficult scene is a money heist

Alvaro’s leg was found to have a cancerous tumor in 2011. When asked about his diagnosis, he stated, “At first I thought I was going to die, that my leg had been severed, but nothing happened.” However, at the time, I was thinking, “Can I die calmly in three months?” Have I shown respect to those who care about me? Have I stayed true to my principles? ” Fortunately, his treatment was successful, but he is still cancer-free.

4. He was a professor in real life

Many fans now refer to Alvaro Morte as El Profesor when they see him in public, but he did not earn that title through academic achievements. He is, however, a professor in his own right, as he teaches literature and stage management to students at Tampere University in Finland, where he studied on a scholarship following his studies in Spain.

The directors desired a 50-year-old man with the appearance of a Harvard-educated professor to fill the role, which was five years older than Morte’s actual age at the time. However, because the directors had previously worked with him, they quickly recommended him. He, on the other hand, had to audition five times in two months, getting it wrong each time before nailing the role on his fifth try.
