Top 10 Remarquable Facts About Embeth Davidtz

Based on just her name you might not recognize Embeth Davidtz until you look at her filmography, then it might become clear who she is.

Like a lot of actors, she’s one of those that tends to shine the most when she’s standing next to someone that’s been hyped up beyond belief, but her roles do manage to make her a very memorable character to those that pay attention.

While she’s not the most glamorous woman in show business she radiates with something that isn’t exactly overwhelming beauty but instead offers something intrinsic that can’t be quantified.

 It’s a good feeling you get when you notice one of her characters since she usually seems like such a trustworthy person that you can’t help but like her. She’s played the antagonist before, but it feels as though this is a role that she’s not always meant for.

1. Her father was a college professor

It’s not a universal feeling but you can almost get the sense that anyone that’s had a parent that’s existed at such a level in their profession has likely felt the pressure of weighted expectations throughout their life at certain points. It could be just a stereotype and not at all indicative of her life, but it is something that many people would agree is possible.

While you can’t say that she’s a glamorous shining star in Hollywood she is by far and large a solid and very successful name within show business that deserves to be where she’s at.

She admits that she looks at other qualities in people when assessing just how appealing they are to her.

Embeth doesn’t go all in for looks or even the charm that some folks do, she appreciates such things as intelligence, compassion, and other characteristics that many people feel are secondary next to what appeals to the eye.

3. She featured in the 13 Ghosts movie

When someone tells you to go get something while they’re walking away it’s never that great of an idea to do what they say. For a good chunk of the movie it appeared that she was a protagonist, but when she turned heel it was kind of a shock. That’s a big reason why her death scene is more amusing than tragic.

4. She was in the Army of Darkness movie

This was one of the campiest but greatest movies of its time since quite honestly it’s Bruce Campbell just being himself.

To think that the Evil Dead movies led to this were kind of funny, but it was also very humorous since they took the medieval element and just rammed a modernistic attitude down its throat. Hail to the king baby.

5. She was in the Fallen film

You can look up the name Azazel and make your mind up as to what description you want to use, but the demon is described as a fallen angel in some scripts.

The idea of any creature being able to pass from one person to another, using them as hosts, is utterly terrifying however since it means the true killer in such a story could never be caught.

6. Her school was very strict.

She had to wear a uniform and couldn’t wear any makeup in her school, which might seem very strict but can be seen in many school policies as in their eyes it tends to cut down on distractions. There are a lot of people that would argue with this now.

7. She was in Matilda.

This is still a very loved children’s story that features a young girl born with extraordinary abilities that have a very advanced sense of how the world should work. Miss Honey is the teacher she always wanted and eventually becomes the adoptive mother she wanted so badly.

8. Her career started in 1989.

She’s been acting since her early 20s and has been making her way up the ranks ever since. At this point, it feels as though her career has hit a plateau that’s quite comfortable and doesn’t seem inclined to slide out from beneath her.

The story of an android that wanted to be more human was quite touching and managed to get a good deal of attention for a while but got kind of buried as time went on. Considering that he existed for 200 years throughout a few different generations of the same family one would think that he might learn about humanity at a more accelerated rate.

She admits that she looks at other qualities in people when assessing just how appealing they are to her. Embeth doesn’t go all in for looks or even the charm that some folks do, she appreciates such things as intelligence, compassion, and other characteristics that many people feel are secondary next to what appeals to the eye.

10.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013.

Thankfully she is doing just fine now. But she was also featured in a project that made use of the fact that she’d been through this and required some nudity as it focused on the very issue that affects many women throughout the world.
